Outis Music Presents: Opera Series 004

Italian sound artist Dino Sabatini is back on his own Outis Music. The label, inaugurated in 2011 by Sabatini himself, is known for the spiritual deeper side of techno.

A series focussing more on the slowed down, ritualistic side of ambient and deep techno, with his own long players ‘Omonimo’ and ‘Shaman’s Paths’ as milestone albums. ‘Opera Quattro’ continues on this path, it’s a mesmerizing collection of playful electronica, heavily influenced by trip- hop and dub music, perfectly capturing Sabatini’s current state of mind. Balancing in between half-tempo drum and bass and organic techno grooves, it’s an essential pack of Italian deep techno trips.

The fifth installment on Kinetic Vision is a solo EP by POD in a similar vein to the much lauded
SQZR EP by POD and Edward Richards. The release explores the territory between Hypnotic
Techno, Jungle and Dubstep.
POD leans into deep Techno sound design with syncopated rhythms overlaid with psychedelic
textures. The EP starts off with a slower tempo before moving into the faster Dubstep and
Jungle BPM’s. The unifying flavour throughout is a dreamy and dub like half time feel with an
emphasis on hardware drum and synth recording. Breaks and other samples are used more
sparingly.

The compilation will not be available on any streaming services. Most of the 150 limited edition copies will be available through our Bandcamp page and at the event on 10th of February STAUB 11. Each record is unique with special coloring, a process involving xrays and high temperatures. They are very pretty :)
