Realizing that their army was weaker
And much less powerful
They decided to abandon the city
They adopted a scorched earth policy as they left the city
Burning the city to the ground
And one day start again...

'Fields Of Passage' follows alternate themes through hybrid vignettes - instrumental tonescapes leaning into rural enclaves. The song "Hinterlands" is track 6 on the album and it captures a sojourn into wilderness stretches with easy guitar riffs, sweeping synth arcs and an upbeat, grounded percussion.
