Camila Rodhes is a multidisciplinary artist based in Paris, working as a DJ, producer, label manager, and nightlife photographer. After discovering electronic music in Guatemala, she returned to France to develop a sound blending hypnotic textures, deep techno, and DnB. In 2022, she launched her label @inf3cted_records, focused on eclectic, hybrid sounds.

Three years after his debut album, London-based Jeigo levels up with a new long player that displays his knack for meaningful melodies and deft rhythms while blurring the lines between ambient, garage and breaks. Inspired by three months on an olive oil farm in rural Italy, there is a beautiful sense of isolation and inward reflection to these sounds, even when the energy ramps up. Sultry, airy vocals and delicate strings weave between organic grooves on the opener, while pitched-up and pained tones bring a futurist twist to the paddy garage beats of 'Echoes.' There is a more warped low end and hints of Burial's ghostly vocal and drum designs on 'Emptiness' while 'Groundwater' is shuffling house suffused with luminous synth work that brings a nostalgic pang. Etum is a masterfully melancholic study that leaves a lasting emotional impact.

Loose Records presents its Loose Limited Series, which focuses on abstract electronic music that pushes boundaries without losing sight of the dance floor.

This release is by Convoke, and it features two techno tracks that combine industrial breakbeats with ambient pads to create immersive grooves that have a dystopian vibe.

Convoke has been making electronic music since the '90s and throughout that time has embraced multiple different styles. Based in Brighton (UK), he has produced music under a variety of different aliases, and these tracks are an amalgamation of his decades long career.

"New Frontier," has expansive pads stretched over a throbbing bassline and crunching breakbeats.

Upstairs//Downstairs, a Melbourne collective that’s been championing international artists for over five years, is now proud to launch its label with Italian-born, London-based producer Big Hands. 

Titled “Anti Militarist Dubs,” the EP stands strong in its message and sound — four cuts built for deep listening and heavy systems. 

Opening with Battle of Cannae, a dubby roller filled with crisp percussion and meditative warmth — the perfect soundtrack for sunlit sound systems. 

A2 — Battle of Carrhae follows closely behind, a deep 120BPM bass groover with detailed percussion and rich textures that tie the first side together beautifully. 

Flipping over, B1 — Stolen Land, a collaboration with Melbourne heavyweight Pugilist, takes things into club territory. Spacious, weighty and rhythmically twisted, filled with polyrhythmic grooves, a few wubs, and gritty percussive drive. Strap in. 

Closing the record, B2 — Battle of Edessa pushes the tempo to 160BPM — a sharp, hypnotic finisher that shows why Big Hands continues to stand out as one of the most exciting producers doing it right now.

After witnessing @alokamusic’s set at Fusion festival 2025, we simply had to invite him for our 34th Herbarium episode. We are more than glad we did as he put together such a powerful journey enriched with juicy sounds and grooves, we can’t hold back to move to this 🐒

Here’s some background about aloka’s choice of a plant: 
The plant that I think best represents my sound is gorse (Ulex europaeus). It grows everywhere along the Welsh coast where I’m from, and it has this wild, intimidating look with its sharp spines. But when it blooms, it suddenly becomes bright and full of colour - sometimes almost all year round. I think that the contrast of something fierce turning vibrant really reflects the balance in my music.
