Crashing into his first full EP with @kindergartenrecords, London-based artist @stolenvelour delivers an onslaught of agitated rhythms, crystal-crisp sonics and hulking bass-weight. He throws together elements of UK funky, trance, industrial club and PC Music-style hyperpop into disorienting maelstrom of club fuel, in part a synaesthetic evocation of the black, red and white aesthetic of the Luo people of Kenya, of which he is descendant through his father. 'Onyx', a first single from the EP, mashes a bubbling cauldron of playful synth manipulation against stomping drum patterns.

Just two years on from its inception, @kindergartenrecords reaches its tenth release, a landmark occasion for the NYC label and crew founded by @masha-ny. Who better then, to celebrate this anniversary, than @drvmmy. The NYC-based producer was the first to release on the label back in May 2020, and the intricate chaos of his production work is emblematic of the label’s commitment to maximum propulsion on the dancefloor. With 'Double Stop', Drummy dials up the energy while delving into a deep, dark sound palette. The EP heaves and crashes throughout, playing with texture with a maximalist approach.

Fresh from the milestone of their 10th release @kindergartenrecords keep their foot on the gas with another collection of percussive sorcery from label stalwart @despinadespina. A titanic clash of the organic and the synthetic, ‘Gravity Games’ crashes about with gleeful abandon, guided by an unrelenting intensity and the sense that every space should be filled, every sense overloaded. Within these tracks respite is rare: precious gasps for air never far ahead of a tumbling return to neurological bombardment. ‘Blure’ keeps up the pressure with an amalgam of serrated synths, old-skool vocal chops and a rippling cascade of percussive texture.

Following an initial appearance on @kindergartenrecords 'Fluo II' compilation last year, Leeds-based artist @ziyiz presents 'Pattern Factory Method', an incandescent four-track EP that marks their solo debut for the NY-based record label. 'Pattern Factory Method' is the name of a factory that Ziyiz has discovered. This factory attempts to recreate artifacts using incomplete, corrupted data gathered from our world. Seeking to reconstruct historical information. A museum that prints its collection, with each iteration, attempting to come closer and closer to an authentic reproduction of an ancient artifact. This Pattern Factory Method however creates only corrupted forms, fragmented relics and inaccurate antiquities.

For the first release of 2023, @kindergartenrecords is thrilled to welcome to the label one of the most exciting young producers around. @tomsobolikmusic’s cuts on early reflex, Cloudcore, Woozy, and Martyn’s 3024 label gathered widespread respect in a short time. Focusing on rhythmic play and an embrace of freneticism, their release feels like classic Kindergarten, a hailstorm of maximalist invention wrought from the tumultuous highs and lows of the artist's first full year living in New York after lockdown.

Kindergarten Records readies a new V/A compilation with Fluo III - a three-tracker that injects ongoing futuristic dancefloor forays accompanied by kaleidoscopic club sounds. 

Two brand-new voices make their debut on the label, as New York-based artists Palitra and Martini make their presence felt alongside a solo track from label founder Ma Sha.

Palitra leads off Fluo III with “Cold Shoulder”, a methodically bass-churner that invokes a time-warp tunnel between early 2000s sound design up until now. Palitra’s globe-spanning upbringing shaped his influences and experiences - originally from Kyiv and then moving to the
mountainous ranges of Virginia, the constant shifts between time, space and pace developed into distinct sonic sensibilities upon his move to New York. 

From Palitra himself: “Around that time, besides the obvious reference to Source Direct, I was also discovering mid 2000s drumfunk and listening to records from labels like Scientific Wax and Inperspective. The lean, vascular sound and rhythmic structures of the hits of that era inspired the idea behind Cold Shoulder."
