Two months after the release of ‘Pithovirii‘ from Canadian producer Aidan Baker, Glacial Movements gear up to issue the debut solo album from Italian producer Galati... Our pick from the album is ‘As still as these high mountains‘ – mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri aka The Sight Below at Black Knoll Studios, the track shifts from meditative guitar riffs to rasping walls of texture thick soundscapes, drawing out variations on a glacial landscape over 7-minutes. Be under no illusions, this is a pristine piece of dark ambient, meticulously carved into the permafrost.
