Sciama's DJ set kicked off the third day of performances curated at Castell de Montjuïc for Mostra 23 (@mostrabcn). The second edition of the Catalan festival brought together a total of 1,000 people across two different locations and featured four days of musical acts. The lineup included 31 artists who delivered high-quality avant-garde and experimental electronic sounds.

Endurance is the ambient project of Canadian-born Joshua Stefane.
Using modular synthesizers, field recordings, and cassette tapes,
Endurance’s sound has become increasing minimal and tonally-
focused over the years, employing a minimum of elements to create
a maximum of expressiveness. In addition to releasing from labels
such as Constellation Tatsu and Mystery Circles, Endurance also
curates the Japan-based tape label Muzan Editions. He is part of the organizing team for Moment, a techno festival in Nara, and
SLOWMOTION, a regular ambient party in Osaka in collaboration
with AOKI takamasa and Loe. He has appeared at numerous high-
profile events such as Kyoto’s Star Festival, Moment, and Rural, and
has performed with artists such as Neel, Peter van Hoesen, and Wata Igarashi.

The time has come to unveil the label's next release in cassette and digital format. The aim of the ACCENTAPE series is to bring two artistic worlds together, to give the listener a sense of the echoes and resonances between musical approaches whose aesthetics are either not so far apart, or on the contrary, sometimes to play on contrasts and offer albums with more depth. For this new release, it's more a question of two worlds criss-crossing and meeting in a softness and light of musical tones made of complementarity and chromatic sensitive reverberations.

Avsluta is a London-based artist, producer and DJ, curator of the Introspective Electronics radio show and podcast series and organiser of Terra Obscura parties with 10 years under her belt at London’s electronic music institution Phonica Records. Apart from her solo work, she is one half of Vādin, a musical project in collaboration with sound artist Christian Duka. She has released music on Indefinite Pitch, Secuencias Temporales and Huinali, and her musical approach is both atmospheric and organic, including field-recording and vocals, tribal and polyrhythmic percussion. Her signature sound is organic, sensitive and bewitching.

Adhémar is a Paris-based artist, painter, producer and DJ whose approach is deliberately synaesthetic, in which he translates pictorial and coloured sensations into ethereal and dreamlike waves. He is also known for his progressive and delicate DJ sets, notably for renowned series such as Monument, Silent Season, Delayed, and has released EPs on labels such as Different Exhibition, Huinali, Initiate, Ritualism, Artscope...

ACCENTAPE009 is an ideal shared album for this new spring season which promises to be sunny and mild, like the budding of trees, the return of birds, and the flowering of nature.

Bio:

Jaime Romero aka Estrato Aurora  is also the half of Pajaro Dune project (with David Ortolá). He has been an integral part of Valencia's underground music scene. Jaime as a Dj and producer has more than 2 decades in the studio working with analogic machines and a whole kind of stuff. He defines himself as an Atmospheric music worker. His line on the last years has leaded to publish on known labels such as: Alpenglühen, Bliq Rec, Appian Sounds, On Board, Dial Rec,Discos Pandémicos,Grabaciones Perpendiculares, Oslated, HC Records, Sure Thing, Sungate...
Together with d_o_ppelgaenger his new label “Sediments” has just been released.

// Ambient, atmospheric music is a genre of music that puts an emphasis on tone and atmosphere over traditional musical structure or rhythm. A form of slow instrumental music, it uses repetitive, but gentle, soothing sound patterns that can be described as “sonic wallpaper” to complement or alter one’s space and to generate a sense of calmness.
