Bait's 3rd VEP, Out of Step, looks into industrial, mechanical sounds, some of which almost don’t qualify as “dance” music anymore. @ex_sses, @lloydfears, @otonenoto, @vvcr and @gillielove take you on a march where you feel like you keep tripping up.

● After a seven month hiatus, I7HVN makes a return with Primal Inflection, his first release of 2025. Featuring four originals and four remixes by Innerworld, PYNX & ezkape, Turqua & Vedik the EP finds its home on Safar Collective, blending intricate rhythms and deep atmospheres with his signature broken beat, IDM-influenced sound. Inspired by a bio-punk aesthetic, the release unfolds with Kekule, a meditative and textured ambient electronica piece that sets the tone with its atmospheric depth. The EP continues with Fluid Mosaic Model, where broken beats flow seamlessly through liquid textures, enriched by rhythmic patterns drawn from Indian religious gatherings. The title track, Primal Inflection, rises with slow-building intensity, locking into a fierce 160 BPM pulse, broken drum patterns, and haunting vocal hooks sampled from Japanese horror. Closing the originals, Chalcanthite glows with a sharp yet delicate energy, racing through fluid IDM sequences while maintaining a warm, melodic core.

HIDD3N HAND’s album is a striking debut that finds its power in duality. Rooted in the rhythmic DNA of UK Garage while drenched in the expansive atmospheres of Wave, the album feels both grounded and dreamlike, equally suited for the dancefloor and late-night headphone sessions.

The UKG influence shows up in the shuffling percussion, swung snares, and basslines that give the record its momentum. But rather than relying on nostalgia, HIDD3N HAND stretches those grooves into widescreen landscapes — pads hang heavy in reverb, ghostly vocal fragments drift in and out, melodies bend and fracture. The result is a sound that pushes Garage forward rather than looking back.

Two tracks highlight this fusion best. “Middle of Night” is a masterclass in groove, its crisp percussion and vaporous synths creating the sensation of moving through a city after dark, carried by rhythm but suspended in atmosphere. By contrast, “Call Me” is the album’s emotional centerpiece — stripped back, spacious, and anchored by a haunting vocal motif that feels more like a memory than a lyric. Where one track moves your body, the other stills you, leaving you in reflection.

Across the tracklist, HIDD3N HAND shows remarkable restraint and vision. It’s not maximalist club music, nor is it purely ambient introspection. Instead, it thrives in the liminal space between. In doing so, HIDD3N HAND delivers a record that honors the past, resonates in the present, and gestures toward the future of electronic music.

London's Le Chatroom are a platform promoting open-mindedness and experimentation with electronics. Founded by Livity Sound affiliate, Kouslin the label has become synonymous with an intricate sound palette, landing their releases in the bags of Ben UFO and Call Super. 

With two releases already under their belt, they prep a third various artists affair featuring Amor Satyr, Soreab, DJ Tess under her new guise, Mala Femmina and Cando on the remix.

Soreab's offering entitled 'Cave Walk', is a dynamic percussive arrangement laced with a pungent groove. Bristol duo Cando take an insidious turn with their rework. Added percussion and industrial soundscapes paint thick tension, pulling up at breakneck speed. All the elements come together on this one, soundsystems shudder at the thought.
