A dynamic and driven celebration of techno, ‘Intelligent Jump Rope Music’, is a highly crafted and focused release by Thai producer ‘Sarayu’. The four track EP is an exquisite selection of darker club focused tracks, featuring an uplifting and celebratory remix from one of Europe's finest club producers Locked Groove.
	
Though shifting styles the four track EP presents a producer within his element, a craft of high quality and club ready dance music. On the A side, Sarayu opens the EP with the ‘The Bag’, a myriad of infused warm synths and driving hats placing the listener solidly on the club floor. E30 Track (A2) then follows with a much moodier bass filled aura, fluidly moving the listeners onwards with a set of sizzling synths and well crafted drums. On the B side the Album title ‘Intelligent Jump Rope Music’ drops the tempo to 120 bpm with acid tinged synths and dynamic snares. B2 then brings in Locked Groove, driving the tempo back to 136 bpm with an ecstatic club finish, intertwining floating sets of emotional synths and grooving hits together to tremendous result.

Discussing the release, Sarayu credits his experience spending parts of his formative years in the UK as giving his music a darker and club-centered focus. 

“I think my upbringing certainly influences the way I DJ and produce. I often listen back to tracks from the post dubstep era and acknowledge the influence this has had on my own tracks. Whether it is in my sound selection or the way I structure tunes, my focus is always on creating dancefloor orientated music.”

Bangkok based, Sarayu is an artist at the heart of the electronic music scene in Thailand. Playing records for a number of years, he has supported the likes of Ben UFO, Frankie Knuckles and Bicep. He has performed all over the world including: Zukunft, Silbergold, Village Underground and Fabric. When not producing, Sarayu runs his own regionally acclaimed record label, More Rice Records along with its equally popular namesake record store. Arkajo returns to his self-titled imprint this September for its third release, featuring two originals and remixes from Forest Drive West and Ebende. Gothenburg, Sweden’s Arkajo has been releasing his contemporary twist on House, Techno and Leftfield Electronica for the past five years under this guise as well as Genius Of Time, a collaborative project alongside fellow Swedish artist Dorisburg. Here
he returns to the Arkajo imprint following on from his and Dorisburg’s ‘Void Pyramid’ back in May 2019.

‘Truth’ leads the release and pieces together Arkajo’s signature tribal tinged, off-kilter percussion with heavy doses of shattering subs, modulating synth work and hypnotic vocal chants. Livity Sound regular Forest Drive West then steps in remix duties, twisting ‘Truth’ into a murky, subtly unfurling eight minutes via cavernous reverbs, resonant
percussion, sweeping bass tones and intricate processing of the original parts.

The second original from Arkajo opens the b-side, entitled ‘Earth’ and retaining a similar aesthetic the Swedish artist fuses bumpy broken drums with thunderous subs, bubbling echoes and menacing pads. Aniara artist Ebende then wraps up the release, switching
things up to a more classic house feel courtesy of a winding Hammond organ hook, shuffled drums and airy chord sequences.

Emerged from the debris of Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile, Tecnologías Elementales is a platform conceived to produce cognitive frequencies towards the intervention of the global nervous system.  
MUTUALISMOS 01 is the first release of a series that will feature split EPs by two artists from different parts of the world. 
In this case, SIDE A includes two tracks by argentinean techno artist Qik. The core elements of these tracks originated in a live performance during the quarantine of 2020, to be later reworked in the studio. The two laboratory-synthesized entities, however, maintain the fluidity of their original, a character that manifests in their rhythmic and synth progression and down-tempo electronic atmosphere. Mississippi River is inspired by a documentary about New Orleans families who lost their homes during the 2005 flood. The second track is based on typical afro-rhythms from the Río de la Plata in Argentina. 
SIDE B delivers three intimate tracks by chilean DJ and producer Kamila Govorčin that are the result of an exercise in self-knowledge through music production after a period of questioning and discomfort. In her journey to find inner truth, these playful explorations with rhythmic patterns, ghostly melodies and digitally-processed voices allowed Kamila to rewind her mind in order to remember, reset, truly forget and carry on.

Newcastle-based producer @edmondson lines up his first release in two years through his own label @lissoms named 'New Forest Mysticism' packed with the right kind of downtempo for a hazy afternoon.

A fresh breeze drifted through the trees, rustling the final remaining leaves that adorned the branches. Summer and autumn would soon exchange hands and the shades of the forest would turn from bright green hues to brown and orange. The animals prepared themselves to burrow away in winter, making their homes ready for the ensuing hibernation that would soon take hold. Their world would sleep until the seasons changed and the sun blazed down again...

A year on from their last release, an EP courtesy of Hems, locally-indebted label E2-E8 turn their attention back to new talent bubbling up in the East London Underground. Shelter is the work of Orphic, a duo made up of producers Kieran Jandu and Babak Faraji, who are exploring the depths of techno. Slick, elegant and crystal clear, the four tracks travel through deep, dubbed-out moments to peak-time offerings and vibrant, bubbling electronics, finished off with a remix from Bunker and Clone affiliate Marco Shuttle.

Double Ten Day (10/10) in Taiwan has evolved throughout the years into a national day celebrating Taiwan's self-reliant progress, and its distinct culture. Crossing the musical spectrum, it showcases the diversity of Taiwan's electronic music scene.

On the horizon the shapes of the houses and trees began to sharpen as they gathered speed. Dusk was approaching and once the sun went down, there’d be no street lights to guide their way back. It wasn’t safe to be out here at night. They picked up dust, hurtling down the highway as quickly as the car’s ageing engine would take them, it began to grind and gurgle as the pressure on the accelerator reached full tilt. Not long to go, in their race against the setting sun they were close to the finish line.

Sarayu has been a key figure in putting Bangkok on the global music map. The DJ and producer is one of the minds behind Bangkok Community Radio and More Rice Records - a label-turned-record-shop - who's proved to be a dab hand at production too since releasing his debut EP, Pridi, back in 2021. His next is Intelligent Jump Rope Music, an intricate, atmospheric EP for another local imprint, Boiled Wonderland, which follows his track contribution to their Cognition compilation last year which shone a light on underground Thai artists.
