Some people take forever to truly find their passion, but CVO aka Casimir von Oettingen has reached a point of clarity, when he created his new alias. His aim is to focus on the minimalistic structures of the electronic genre and add his signature stamp by introducing just the right amount of breaks. He has enjoyed residencies at Salon zur wilden Renate and Watergate, played venues like Sisyphos, Hoppetosse and Kater Blau. He shared his understanding of electronic music on labels such as Black Sea Side Music, Lauter.Records or As Usual in over 13 active years. Additionally, he was essential for the birth of Station Endlos in his hometown Halle, where he created a place to get lost in. CVO’s well formed and outstanding sound has carefully developed over the last years. Running the vinyl only label Bladehouse, whose Unknown Artist philosophy allows them to focus on the music rather than the artist themselves

BIOGRAPHY

Two creative minds united in one thing - finding the perfect groove. This is the best way to describe the duo ordinary subject aka Christian and Alexander. When their paths crossed in 2010, it quickly became clear that this combination had potential. This proved to be true in numerous gigs in Germany and across Europe as well as countless studio sessions. 

This many years of experience in playing at various clubs and festivals results in a fine feeling for the dance floor. Their current sets are characterized by concise baseline grooves and percussive elements. Which over the years has also become their signature sound. 

To express their own vision of deep and groovy music, they founded the label REDUCED records in 2103. REDUCED records is not only platform for Ordinary Subject to release their own music, it’s also a creative space for like - minded artist. 

Over the years they released on labels like: Defected, MBF, Yoruba Grooves, Bondage Music, Baile Musik, Krad records, Frieda Musik and numerous others.
