Nicole, 63 ans, est une des rares femmes pêcheuse de crevettes à Dunkerque. Ancienne ouvrière du textile et mère de six enfants, elle trouve dans cette pratique réservée aux hommes une échappatoire, un moment de paix. L'eau soigne son corps abîmé par le travail en usine, les maternités et le travail domestique. Nicole est aussi championne du monde de décorticage de crevettes ! Elle raconte qu'elle a pu gagner 10 fois ce concours grâce au travail en usine, qui lui a fait exercer sa rapidité et sa dextérité. Les médias soudain parlent d'elle. Nicole se voit reconnue hors du cercle domestique. Une récompense ? Une revanche ? Un plaisir ?
Au-delà de l'image folklorique de la pêche à la crevette, cet épisode d'Un podcast à soi / Une vie à soi interroge le rapport au temps, au travail domestique, à la reconnaissance. Et donne à entendre des résistances invisibles.
