The anxiety of losing yourself is summarized in 'Balance'. This one-tracker by TWR72 is filled with an unbalanced atmosphere which tries to get a hold of itself. A futuristic sound wanders through the track and is supported by a devious and an almost asymmetrical low end. 

Combined with the driving beats the whole spectrum of different layers glues into a logical unity. The paradox of balance is born and the journey in finding the perfect groove is yet a step closer to it's realization.

Label Boss, delighted by the musicality of the Original Mix released in 2014, decides to remix this track for 2015, carrying his features and composing another masterpiece, which will amaze for sure who's loving his sound. So the Andrea Frisina's version, holding the original arp and vocal, produces, at the same time, dark feelings and pumping grooves through his percussions and the arrangement of the drums.

Driving from the start, some uprising and airy pads catch your attention before shakers light up the deep groove and the pads open up and tease. At the break a haunting high note creates tension and adds to the already spaced out feel. A solid roller that will work any floor like a dream.

The impressive Canadian label @Eternal-Drive-Rec approaches their new release featuring @Subjected and @Obstruct we picked our choice cut for this DT:Premiere by label boss @JayZoney.

This whirring and floor focused remix is pushing forward from the start, with muted looping tones providing a sense of tension. Adding some rough cut textures it plays with a darker atmosphere, but the relentless power makes it a peak time monster track in anyone’s book.

Subsist is a forward thinking imprint based in Valencia, that goes anywhere from experimental electronic music to thundering techno and everything in-between, harnessing that great feeling “I wonder what they do next?”

The selected DT:Premiere track is from their forthcoming release titled “Dynamic Structures” by Argentinian artist Szeb, who has previously released on Re:Axis’ Monocline, Hypnotic Room to our very own DEAD CERT. Records.

“Cenobita” is a crazy and powerful sonic excursion that manages to work an awkward beat to perfection with plenty of hypnotic traits thrown in for good measure. It will no doubt be a stand out track for many DJ sets, it’s unlike anything we’ve heard before and he continues to impress with creativity on his tracks, so keep a close eye on his future releases.

> 01. What was the thinking behind this EP and did you achieve what you set out?
For me, dynamic structure is a clear example of the coldness and darkness that I feel in this part of Southern Argentina (Trelew, Puerto Madryn and Puerto Piramides).

> 02. What tips and advice can you share to any producers on shaping their own sound?
Personally it helped me a lot to be in touch with nature, but for originality I would say to try and leave the musical standard, be encouraged to innovate and to break away from the academic musical training.

Austrian label @Drowne Records are on the verge of their new release next week. Ran by Altberg & Tony Vegazz, they have a great underground ethos featuring artists like Sutter Cane, Chris Colburn, XHEI to Krenzlin and many more.

The latest “Textures EP” from DT favourite @RicardoGardunoMusic who we featured recently, gets the remix treatment from Netherlands based rising star and Affin stalwart, @KeithCarnal.

The track itself gets a stomping and slightly more melody driven twist, with sparse atmospherics that create a dreamy ambience. Slowly building tension and a euphoric edge take hold, with subtle soundscapes and hidden details, this can work in many stages of a DJ set and was our choice for this “DT:Premiere.”

“Man Worships Power” is the first in a small series of joint releases between Enemy Records and Emmanuel’s ARTS Records. Like rare split EPs from record labels in the past, each label takes control of one side of the vinyl for a double-sided release. With high mutual admiration between both labels, it was inevitable that a project like this was bound to happen. For this special occasion, we offer a full-sleeve cover with amazing photography from Sander Meisner.

On the first release, label owners Dustin Zahn and Emmanuel each picked two of their favorite tracks from each other. “Bark Like a Dog…” has already received regular play from Truncate and “Cargo” has been a secret weapon among DJs such as Zahn and Rodhad for the better part of a year.

@Will-Kinsella has spent time as a protégé to fellow Irishman Matador which is certainly some seal of approval.

The track we selected for this DT:Premiere from his forthcoming EP called “Apocalypse Now 121214” on @DynamoRecordings was specifically written for a show with Alan Fitzpatrick and it’s clear to see why.

A solid and punchy beat rolls along with a great sense of eeriness from the high pitched modular style notes. Soaked in haunting whirls and breathiness, it has a spooky vibe throughout that massively appealed to us. This finely tuned track is no doubt one that should be heard on the dancefloor.
