So the fact is this song was written for my mother--the music was composed by Kathryn Hawley--I did cite her as originally posted--and since I don't know about composing music--that should be enough said. We worked well together while it lasted. Peace.

This song was written the morning of my Mothers funeral; it was one more way for me to send her my love~

Shines Like Obsidian

So there are two versions of this--titled differently--though the melody is the same they are slightly different. I am choosing which demo is better for the CD--so if anyone wants to vote--by all means.

Katrhyn Hawley is the musician and I am the lyricist and the vocalist. Most of this work is improvisation--so any errors in dialect or pronunciation come from this method of creativity--occasionally there will be mistakes--we are not looking to be perfect.

So this is the other version; same melody but of course the lyrics are slightly different and this one is longer--some people like the extended longer versions; but we are voting for the CD.

So, seems to be miscommunications when it comes to making music with me. Rule number one--Dont Waste My Time. Rule Two The music we do together is both of our works; we both have equal rights. Rule Three Once we create a song you cannot take that away from me. I will share the song as it is treated as a contract between musician and singer. Rule Four Please, refer back to rule one. I love music--its not about money for me--but spreading joy through improvisational storytelling. So please--Keep your intentions pure if you want to work with me. A Shout Out of Gratitude to everyone sharing commenting and liking our Track Ava's Song: Star Born Child. She succumbed to her injuries in a accident involving a distracted driver. Some of her organs were then donated.She was a really special child that left this world much too soon. She is still with US in spirit and would have loved her song!
