Taking early shapes in residencies with Noorderling, De School, Griessmuehle, and currently Oxi, she shifts to bill without compromising her sound and unafraid to provoke; her sets are characterised by pace, energy and a balancing of different moods. “I'm into so many different styles at the minute so it was hard deciding on the vibe I wanted to go for, so there are lots of energy shifts throughout the mix,” she tells us. “It's got some beautiful moments, some deep, moody moments and – of course – some wonky, weirdo high-energy bangers. I also wanted to take the opportunity to showcase some incredible new music from mates, some forthcoming Pressure Dome, and a new remix I've been working on, all of which I'm excited to share!”

Closing sets at parties are a favourite slot for me, The White Hotel in particular is always a fun one. I’ve uploaded the recording from the last show back in March, bit of a sequel to the last one a couple years back. 

Started a bit dark then had some fun, some UK classics tucked away inside too!

Very happy to have an artist I've admired for a while now join the series, Italian producer/dj Lucca Mucci aka Piezo (@piezopz). With an impressive repertoire of releases on Idle Hands, Wisdom Teeth and more, Piezo has become known for a unique signature style, spacey, bassy soundscapes with serpentine percussion lines & ever-surprising quirks & charms. 

His DJ style is a poignant flow on from his productions - his set at @terraforma festival last year was a major highlight for me - he soundtracked the scorching hot afternoon with percussive, bassy, rhythmic goodness.

Taking over Tapes #101 is Kincaid, the moniker of Joe Arthur, an artist based between London and Berlin, who focuses his production and DJing style on the overlapping fringes of multiple genres. From groove laden percussion to sound design infused textural detail, Arthur’s sounds and sets are not to be missed.

He has released records with Well Street, Grid, Accidental Meetings, Redstone Press, Control Freaks and more to wide ranging acclaim. His unique approach to production and sound design has also sent him on a string of multidisciplinary collaborations. Most recently collaborating with Mercury Nominated composer and artist Hannah Peel, as well as Visual specialists Uncharted Limbo collective on the sound track for Alexander Whitley’s contemporary ballet ‘Anti Body’.

Pharaoh & Yogg - The Ultra Machine, I’m just listening through my music ahead of a gig next week in Belgium, usually I’ve got some weird floaty sounds on or a very nerdy audiobook on Biology or history haha, this is unusually heavy for my daytime / laptop admin activities.

Sustainable, realistic opportunities for all, and more support for artists to create without compromising on time / money to survive….I think this is creating a narrower pool of people who can pursue artistry…also for nightlife, music, all creative musical pursuits, to be recognised for their true value, with support schemes set up to help people pursue and thrive in these areas…
