Shanti Celeste and Gramrcy’s Peach Discs is delighted to kick-off a busy 2022 with a five-track EP from one of our favourite new artists. buen clima’s Transferencia Electrónica is an exploration into pared-down dance music, where interlocking rhythms, percussive synthesis and quasi-looping delays meet to form smooth, efficient and pointed club tracks.

In his own words:
“Stylistically the tracks on this EP owe a lot to the great Black musicians from Chicago and Detroit, namely Herbie Hancock, Mr. De', DJ Rashad, Lil' Louis, Frankie Knuckles, James Stinson and Gerald Donald. I feel like the EP is kind of a love letter to the styles they pioneered, done in my own way, which in turn has been influenced by my background in classical music and improvised music but also so, so heavily by my friends and teachers: I've learned so much just from interacting, working and just plain witnessing eggglub, Lorelei, Maxi Cat, il sentimento, Hola Papá/Annunaki, Lavina Yelb, Jean Pierre Karich, Jorge Pepi, and the whole music scene I belong to in Santiago.”

Dudbridge Garage International co-founder LeftLeft returns with his second solo release on the label, with three new genre-dodging tracks bridging the gap between melodic and minimalistic club music. ‘Zooki’s Return’ sees LeftLeft exploring new musical territory, with an altogether more laidback track influenced by trap and alternative R&B. It’s an unexpected end to the release, but one that shows LeftLeft’s plethora of influences and production skills.

Kreggo has been releasing tracks with his unique twist on contemporary electronic sounds for a while now, and is back with his latest EP for Italy’s Nottetempo where he once again allows all of his musical influences to shine through across the five-track ‘Rally della Lana’ EP. It kicks off with this lead track ‘Rising High’ which sets the tone with ethereal chords, wandering bass tones, squelchy acid licks and modulating percussion.

Pocketmoth presents the second volume of Iti’s club-focused 'Curvework' EP series: Saffron.A functional two-track EP of South Asian-influenced dance floor cuts, Saffron explores the sonic intersection between Iti's cultural heritage and upbringing. Blending punchy skin-drum rhythms with a pallete of snappy electronic percussion and luminous modular synthesis, Iti provides an accessible insight into his personal explorations of culture though sound.

The EP opens with 'Jalil', a thumping 114bpm broken-beat track that quickly alludes to its Arabic meaning of "greatness" "reverence" or "magnificence". Underpinned by powerful low-end production, Jalil combines the cutting South West Asian sounds of the Darbouka & Mizmar with the distinctly south-east Asian Sitar, expressing Iti’s fraternal and spiritual connection to the Middle-East.

Tempos then soar for the EP's title track 'Saffron', nodding to both classic tech house and the percussive elements of Punjabi Garage. Characterised by rolling tabla lines, rhythmic vocal chops and a euphoric ambient passage, Saffron is an unsuspecting technicolour dance floor gem, vibrant like its floral namesake.

The EP also features a remix of Jalil courtesy of Jesse Patrick - one half of prolific Australian techno due X CLUB. In contrast to the heavy techno and breaks that he and co-producer Ben Clarke are known for, the output of Jesse's solo moniker, DJ Speed, provides an insight into his ambient and downtempo sensibilities. For Jesse’s remix of Jalil, he strikes a wonderful balance between his two worlds, reinterpreting Jalil into a solid 4x4 club staple, laden with organ and acid baselines.

With his next LP titled 'Extacy' on the way in early summer 2023 - Swedish born, London based producer Hans Berg presents a forerunning single from the record which comes backed up with remixes from Efdemin and Psyk.

'Elevate' is an elastic, analogue piece which carries a distinctly live character. It's rubbery drums and warping tones are neatly packed into a beautifully structured rework from Efdemin which sets high-frequency sonics darting over a deep, oceanic bed.

The LP's opener 'Sky' blooms with its broad-stroking sweeps, metallic flickers and fractal FX. The Madrid based producer Psyk then takes these elements and puts them through a concrete mixer which results in altogether more marching and heavy tone.

Dublin’s R.Kitt, fresh off the back of an incredible live throw down at AVA festival in Belfast sent us through some divine music we absolutely had to have. “Ripples from the Edge” shares five sentimental yet forward thinking originals from the rising producer as well as a remix from label founder Eluize. 
 The title track comes at us with cascading arps, ariose droplets and pure, smokey pads that burst through a jungle of thumping percussion. “I Wish You Hadn’t Said” gets going with gritty breaks and glassy synths that would be at home on a fog laden warehouse floor, mood lightening melodic jabs slice through before things turn back to a tumultuous minor. “Strange Perspective” is casual and light hearted, funk charged electro. 
 On the flip “Stitch Up” feels ancestral, heavy bass, earthy leads and a dark and enigmatic vocal hit heavy. Damhsa, the Irish word for dance, inspires the next jam, “Machine Damhsa”, a fast paced 4/4 beckoning to do so. The track’s breath catching breakdown gives a moment of transcendence between it’s boundless energy and pulsating drive.  
 Eluize couldn’t resist the lush melodies from Ripples and dives in to turn out a cosmic, 80's touched b boy ready version.
