We took a stab at an absolute progressive house classic from 1999 - the iconic Perception by Cass & Slide! We decided to slow it down a little and take it in more of a Northern Exposure, atmospheric breakbeat direction with a slight Balearic feel.

Rufus Du Sol - Innerbloom (Imad & Dennis Louvra Remix)

I was honored to be asked to do a demo for UVI's latest release, Aurora's, an absolutely STELLAR piano plugin, that does a tremendous job of showing off the piano in new and interesting ways.

I re-worked the track, as the original file, I used only sounds from the plug in, but the main thing that I loved about this, was this melody that I wrote for this.

The break was meant to stay open, and haunting as it builds into the longing release of the melody in the drop.

These decisions we make, create the atmosphere for both a powerful and driving base of our lives, and yet we agonize over each decision about what may or may not be gleaned from the understanding at a time later in life.

I hope you enjoy my take on this absolutely incredible soundscape.
