“Originally I only wanted to make one song. But with so many connections through THE CHOSEN FEW, the riddim went down incredibly well with so many artist that eventually I decided to go with several versions. Two, three versions soon added up to five, five turned eight, and at the end it was 20 different songs. It was exciting to see the different approaches the artists took all based on the same starting position.”

The latest project that emerged from DJ TURNTILL’s apparently inexhaustible, creative production pool follows a concept that is long known among reggae selectahs: one riddim serves as the basis for several different songs. Hardly surprising, a multitude of musicians participated in the production: “I had the idea for the riddim, while DJ SAYES, for example, BOKY BALBOA and MERLIN later helped me out with the technical realization. And Angelos from TIMEWARP MUSIC in Greece does all the mixing and mastering. All of them are members of THE CHOSEN FEW,” says TURNTILL describing the collaborations for this mammoth project. “All in all, more than 50 people were involved.” More than one year after the whole production process started, the Bern-based producer and DJ has now complied twenty different TCF Rock Riddim versions, crossing national and genre borders alike: “Many artists featured on the TCF Rock Riddim are actually hip-hoppers, others are both, rap and reggae artists at the same time.”

Along artists from his home country Switzerland, there are Chosen Fews featured from South Africa, Jamaica, Italy, Mexico, and Germany. A complete list showing all artists involved is attached. “Exchange and bringing people together is very important for me. I hope this riddim accomplishes to bridge countries and create a shared spirit among the artists, some of which have never met each other in person,” TURNTILL comments on his reggae project.

(Techno-opera) Victor Argon Project - "2032: The Legend of unrealized future '

The Legend of unrealized future - one and half hours electronic opera composer Victor Vladivostok An argon. Continuing the tradition of such famous works as "Juno and Avos", "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "War of the Worlds," "The Legend of unrealized future, thus, represents the first (as far as we know) the domestic experience a vocal and instrumental A big form with a focus on rhythmic electronic music (mostly - with a straight rhythm). Arrangements are made in the style of a techno-pop, electro / synth-pop, the late disco, new age, "space" of electronics. Being a non-classical work, the opera includes not only the vocal arias and dialogues of characters, but also voice and instrumental numbers. Some pieces (arias sung forms and instrumental compositions) can be adequately understood as almost independent works, while others are inconceivable in isolation from the overall plot.

The plot of the product belongs to the genre of alternative history. The action takes place in 2032 in the USSR. This is no dystopia or a utopia, nor grotesque. Rather an attempt to rethink the Communist fantastic idea, its painful and tragic romance, the collision of an inaccessible Christian ideal of universal love and rationalist economic problems. Love of individual and universal love, war, local and global war, the search for paradise on earth and a desire for self-destruction, artificial intelligence and human reason ... There is no advocacy for or against, there is a problem. And, like the fantasy genre, where the medieval atmosphere does not mean the author's desire to return to the Middle Ages, is socialism and not meant to be political pathos - it just creates an atmosphere, a certain aesthetic happening.

The target audience of "Legends of the unrealized future" are the people who are interested in social philosophy, science fiction and melodic electronic music.




(Techno-opera) Виктор Аргонов Project - "2032: Легенда о несбывшемся грядущем" 

Легенда о несбывшемся грядущем -- полуторачасовая электронная опера владивостокского композитора Виктора Аргонова. Продолжая традиции таких всемирно известных произведений, как "Юнона и Авось", "Иисус Христос Суперзвезда" и "Война Миров", "Легенда о несбывшемся грядущем", при этом, представляет собой первый (на сколько нам известно) отечественный опыт создания вокально-инструментального произведения крупной формы с ориентацией на ритмическую электронную музыку (главным образом - с прямым ритмом). Аранжировки выполнены в стилях техно-поп, электро/синти-поп, позднего диско, new age, "космической" электроники. Будучи неклассическим произведением, опера включает в себя не только вокальные арии и диалоги персонажей, но и речевые и инструментальные номера. Некоторые фрагменты (арии песенной формы и инструментальные композиции) могут адекватно восприниматься как почти самостоятельные произведения, другие же немыслимы в отрыве от общего сюжета.

Сюжет произведения относится к жанру альтернативной истории. Действие происходит в 2032 году в СССР. Это ни антиутопия, ни утопия, ни гротеск. Скорее попытка фантастического переосмысления коммунистической идеи, её болезненного романтизма и трагизма, столкновения недостижимого христианского идеала всеобщей любви и рационалистических экономических задач. Любовь индивидуальная и любовь всеобщая, война локальная и война глобальная, поиск рая на земле и стремление к самоуничтожению, разум искусственный и разум человеческий... Здесь нет пропаганды за или против, здесь есть лишь проблема. И, подобно жанру фэнтези, где средневековая обстановка не означает стремления автора вернуться в средневековье, здесь социализм также не претендует на политический пафос -- он лишь создаёт атмосферу, определённую эстетику происходящего.

Целевой аудиторией "Легенды о несбывшемся грядущем" являются люди, которым интересна социальная философия, научная фантастика и мелодичная электронная музыка.
