A hypnotic live set recorded at Brooklyn’s Public Records.

Amelia Holt is a mainstay in Brooklyn’s electronic scene, known for her experimental and shapeshifting sets and community projects including In Your Dirty Ears and Cute af series on Movement Radio. 

The former is a weekly music newsletter that started out as an audio-visual program blending cross-genre music with a collage of visuals designed as experimental sensory therapy. The latter, which she curates with Noff Weezy, focuses on various micro-communities worldwide making an impact in the electronic music scene. It’s one of our favourite series at the moment (the latest one with Ura is especially good).

As we’d hoped, Amelia’s recording doesn't adhere to any preconceptions about what a Theory Therapy mix should sound like. It’s a live recording taken from a recent Public Records event that spans trip hop, deep house, IDM, and bunch of other unbelievably good, mind-bending, bass heavy club music.

Anyone who’s ever heard a set from carin kelly knows how easily the Rinse Fm resident glides from rhythm to rhythm. Influenced by both uk and us bass music, her percussive sets are vibrant, simultaneously exploring depth in textures and groove, and catches dance floors off guard with her ingenious blending of tempos and genres. carin kelly knows her classics and she rarely goes where we expect her to - far from a traditional set-building, for the best.

(Not) Every Morning, But Every Afternoon is a monthly show that provides an hour of experimental space to be filled with Calmness, with Fun, with Quirkyness and Emotion. As there will be different guests invited to join kk4rbon on this show regularly, it is safe to say that (not) every show will be the same. 

In the fifth episode, kk4rbon and xir1miri dive into Basque music from northern Spain. From folk music like Trikitixa, which revolves around the diatonic accordion, to Basque post-punk styles. An attempt to show the beauty of this mysterious language that was temporarily oppressed under a dictatorial regime, this set shows music as a means of resistance and underlines the strong and powerful sound from Euskadi.
