We at Perplexity Music are proud to share with you the stunning debut artist album of our very own Orsa (Adithya Yadalam), showcasing eight brand new tracks of pristine quality. In short, “Picking Up the Pieces” is an aural journey bursting with emotion and a unique sense of musical character. From hard-hitting progressive house rhythms to the tender, piano-rich melodies of the more filmic cuts, this album is sure to please listeners of any and all kind. 

The story begins with an impassioned ode to those who have ventured beyond our own world with “The Price We Pay,” a downtempo ballad of bittersweet melodies intertwined with the album’s thematic-driven piano. “Cosmonaut” portrays a darker, moodier take on Orsa’s songwriting prowess, while still captivating the listener to look up above with wonder. Perhaps most unforgettable of the album is the poignant downtempo masterpiece “The Oracle,” a song incorporating a hauntingly beautiful duo of piano and electric guitar-like riffs.  

In addition to continuing to contribute to the progressive house scene with the sunlit wonder “Skyward (Our Great Escape),” the powerful 80’s themed “Ganymede Shuffle,” and the deeper and more reflective “E. D. L.,” Orsa flexes his classical musical background with the inclusion of two cinematic pieces that further draw upon the album’s ongoing theme of the exploration of space and self. “Tryst On Titan” is a gentle piano solo that is, simply put, the stuff of dreams. As a final farewell, Orsa shares with us the wondrous soundscapes of “From Whence We Came,” a heartening conclusion to the evocative expedition of “Picking Up the Pieces.”

Included within the debut album of this American talent is not just a wide-ranging array of tunes across multiple genres but instead a musical tale – a story predicated upon the intrinsic value of introspection and a yearning for what lies beyond.

We are as a proud as ever to bring on another milestone to our PHW roster, and this time we do it on our Elements division as we see the 150th release on the label shine. We are also delighted to bring in string of great producers to create the release as we see some truly familiar faces taking a well deserved spot on our roster.

Being a producer, showing great diversity in his productions style, we now sense we have another producer seeing a future creating the deeper side of progressive music, as Orsa is delivering a chunky piece of deep, driving and melodic textures with his new baby called “Carcharoth”. With crisp layers of atmospheric pads, swirling melodic arrangements he set the standard for the release, and we are so immense happy to be able to bring it on for you.

On remix duty, we see another massive production from one of the most respected producers out there, as UK’s very own Alfonso Muchacho moniker is being back with us on the label. With a string of fine EP’s and remixes together with our PHW Elements label, we see he deliver another magic deep and energetic rework. It is as atmospheric and well structured as we always see from one of the best in the business.
With a return back on the label, we see another delightful delivery from globetrotting DJ and producer, based in Dubai, Ejaz Ahamed. Playing venues across the globe, we for sure know he is a guy that know how it should sound, and we can’t see less than that he’s nailed it once again for us. Deep, soothing bass lines, clever percussion work along with crisp and juicy atmosphere brought on, we see another sensational production land from the UAE based producer, and we can’t see you will miss out on this one, as it is a skilled piece working both on radio and in the big stages.

We are as said thrilled and excited to see these guys join us for another release, and we do feel there is a lot to catch up with, inside this release. Awesome work guys!

New original here. This is a bit different from anything else I've made. Clocking in at 95 BPM, this is definitely the slowest track I've ever made. It was a lot of fun to work on, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

I usually make mixes for myself because listening to similar tunes together is simply easier, and also because the process of mixing itself is fun. Every so often though, a friend will hear a mix I have done and request for me to send it over to them, so I figured that since I already make mixes every so often, I might as well share them with you. 

When I want to turn some music on, I tend to like listening to many of an artist's tunes all at once. So, from time to time from now on, I'll make a mix of one of my current favorite artist's songs for your (and my own) listening ease. I'm thinking once a month right now, probably closer to the beginning of each month.

First up - Monoverse! I discovered Santos and his label, Amped Artists, a few months ago. To my ear, he has a very noticeable sound that is easy to distinguish from the rest, a feat that is seen less and less these days. Most apparent to me are his plucky, driving basslines and massive saw leads, both of which I really enjoy. Take a listen, I think you will, too! :)

Orsa Presents: MELODIES 001, Producer Spotlight - Monoverse

I recently participated in The Thrillseekers﻿ Remix contest for his new song, Find You, and I can now share my entry with you! Unfortunately, I didn't win.. but working with the vocal stems and harmonies of Find You was a great opportunity and a lot of fun. I took a stab at making a 138 BPM uplifting trance tune and am very pleased with how it turned out. :)

For those of you who aren't regular trance listeners, this remix of mine may be a bit out of your general listening tastes but give it a shot anyway - you may find that you enjoy uplifting trance after all! To me, uplifting trance/138 uplifting has always been about pure, unabashed energy and emotion, and that is what I tried to convey in my remix. I sincerely hope you enjoy it!

This month’s selection of Melodies showcases the music of one of my favorite stars in the deeper and more progressive side of the melodic world, Serbian producer Marko Cubric, or as he is better known, Vintage & Morelli. His music is positively enchanting, hypnotizing, and I think it’s pretty safe to say that his works are the likes of every aspiring progressive music producer’s dreamscapes. If you have an appetite for musical environments grounded by gritty grooves and sonic atmospheres so thick that you can get lost in them, Vintage & Morelli is for you. 

Vintage & Morelli’s signature sound is characterized by his tightly worked and brilliantly crafted percussive lines, quite often accompanied by a powerful deep sub and cymbal pattern that, to me, is the hallmark of the infectious groove that is present in nearly every one of his tunes. Prepare yourself for some absolutely beautiful piano breakdowns and catchy instrumentally diverse riffs that will never fail to ease you into a sense of wonder.

This month, I’d like to present you with a producer whose music is, in my opinion, tragically underrated. Hailing from across the pond, Glaue and his music are a phenomenal find to any progressive house listener. Glaue’s tunes have seen releases on some of the finest labels in the trance & progressive scene, such as the Arrival sublabel of Silk Music and sunsetmelodies. If I had to pick one thing that sets Glaue apart from the rest, it would be his innovative use of sounds such as water droplets as a percussion. 

In addition to his signature bouncy and rhythmic basslines, his music is always characterized by a distinctively warm groove, often the product of expertly crafted full, rich chord plucks. Whether you are looking for soul-soothing relaxation or something to keep your foot tapping for an hour, Glaue’s versatile progressive style is not one to be missed.

This month I’d like to feature the beautiful work of Japanese producer Shingo Nakamura. To me, it seems as if today the word ‘legend’ is being thrown around far too frequently, so I choose my words carefully when I say that the emotion-rich, hauntingly captivating music of Shingo Nakamura is the work of a true legend of the deep and progressive house genres.

Shingo Nakamura’s signature sound comes from his masterful blend of deep and progressive house – channeling the bumping groove of deep, soulful basslines and then combining it with warm progressive plucks. Perhaps most memorable of Shingo’s well-developed production aesthetic though is his use of piano. Many, if not all, of his music contains unforgettable piano riffs that add an acoustic vibe to his tightly produced tunes. Prepare to entire a one-of-a-kind finely-tuned sonic wonderland.

I first really began listening to electronic music in high school by tuning into A State Of Trance each week.. and when I started writing  music, it was a kid's dream of mine to someday get a tune of my own played by the trance king himself, @arminvanbuuren.

Today that actually happened! I still can't believe it - on his show A State of Trance, Armin just played a brand new collaboration that my good friend @monoverse / Santos Torres and myself wrote, and I am absolutely ecstatic! I just saw that I hit 2,000 followers on Soundcloud, and I can't quite believe it! I will always be grateful to have the support of my friends and fans on my musical endeavors. :)

We are as a proud as ever to bring on another milestone to our PHW roster, and this time we do it on our Elements division as we see the 150th release on the label shine. We are also delighted to bring in string of great producers to create the release as we see some truly familiar faces taking a well deserved spot on our roster. 

Being a producer, showing great diversity in his productions style, we now sense we have another producer seeing a future creating the deeper side of progressive music, as Orsa is delivering a chunky piece of deep, driving and melodic textures with his new baby called “Carcharoth”. With crisp layers of atmospheric pads, swirling melodic arrangements he set the standard for the release, and we are so immense happy to be able to bring it on for you. 

On remix duty, we see another massive production from one of the most respected producers out there, as UK’s very own Alfonso Muchacho moniker is being back with us on the label. With a string of fine EP’s and remixes together with our PHW Elements label, we see he deliver another magic deep and energetic rework. It is as atmospheric and well structured as we always see from one of the best in the business.
With a return back on the label, we see another delightful delivery from globetrotting DJ and producer, based in Dubai, Ejaz Ahamed. Playing venues across the globe, we for sure know he is a guy that know how it should sound, and we can’t see less than that he’s nailed it once again for us. Deep, soothing bass lines, clever percussion work along with crisp and juicy atmosphere brought on, we see another sensational production land from the UAE based producer, and we can’t see you will miss out on this one, as it is a skilled piece working both on radio and in the big stages. 

We are as said thrilled and excited to see these guys join us for another release, and we do feel there is a lot to catch up with, inside this release. Awesome work guys!
