Orxata is one of the most unusual musical collective of the current electronic scene, from Valencia, has managed to integrate the legacy of valencian 90's techno and mediterranean tradicional sounds with many peripheral rhythms like cumbia, kuduro, funk carioca, moombahton and dubstep. Throughout its nearly 10 years carrer, the band has toured the Catalan speaking area, Spanish State, Germany, Austria, Belgium, France and Morocco.
Orxata is characterized by a frm commitment to free culture, publishing since birth all their works on the Internet under Creative Commons licenses, in addition to being one of the frst bands using wiki technology and social media to write their lyrics in a collaborative way.
With their two previous albums, 1.0 and 2.0, have been reaping outstanding awards, a great reception from music journalists and mass appeal that has been growing in parallel to the band, which is creating high expectations on their third album, 3.0, which will be recorded in October 2012 in Iceland and launched in mid-December this year round.
