For mix 10 in the VIBRATIO)))NS Vol. 2 series (& the first of 2024), I'm so excited share this absolete sonic trip of a mix, courtesy of my lovely friend & Amsterdam based DJ + Co-founder of "Front Left By The Speaker"; @accuraat.

When he first sent me this mix in December, I was immideitaly transported to the Voodoo stage at Dekmantel Selectors, a stage that truly fosters the exploration of sonics in the deepest, wonkiest & most adventurous of ways. I've gotten to see some phenonmal sets at that stage, & this special mix absolulety deserves the comparsions I'm making. It reflects an indiviual with a special ear & fascinating ability to find & splice the DNA of the music he collects. A wild ride, and the very definition of VIBRATIO)))NS.

Here's the mix in Accuraat's own words:

"This is actually something I’ve never done: record a mix of nearly 3 hours in front of a white wall in my apartment without the guidance that a crowd gives you and the way it reflects the music you play back at you layered with their emotions. Don’t get me wrong, I was excited to record this and share nearly 3 hours of music with you all, but getting into it I was weirdly quite nervous. So I had to learn to just let go, relinquish control, and the need for external validation, and simply let the track before and the one before that nudge my brain in the right direction.

In the end, and minor a few iffy transitions, I’m really glad where this took me. I surely managed to cover quite a lot of ground and get into little wormholes only to get back out and into another one. I hope you enjoy this one, have a great end of year, and remember to take care of each other.

The artwork for this mix are simple photos of two covers of records which I used a lot during this mix, Birdland which played in its entirety powered most of the more techno wormhole and Ataxia from Rian Treanor provided vocal snippets throughout the entire mix + a track played in full.
