Steve Ball music features gentle, textural, hummable songs arranged for multiple voices and interlocking acoustic guitars. Steve's live shows feature an exceptional blend of musical influences including Robert Fripp and the League of Crafty Guitarists, Steve Reich, Kate Bush, Simon and Garfunkle, Jonatha Brooke, U2, Pete Townshend, David Byrne, Richard Thompson, the Cars, the Church, U2, Yes, and Peter Gabriel.

From 1996-2006, The Steve Ball Roadshow (SBRS) played in and all around the Seattle area in different configurations, both acoustic and electric. 

The SBRS lineup recorded and released a box set featuring three full length CDs -- 45 new songs from their live repertoire:

•The first CD ("Roadshow") features original acoustic math-pop short story songs arranged for multiple voices, multiple guitars, drums and percussion. 
•The second CD ("Naïve Melodies") features obscure but familiar songs clothed in unique arrangements for multiple voices and multiple guitars. 
•The third CD ("Knotwork") features ambient textures and remixed instrumental versions of some of the songs on the first two CDs.

This 3-CD release "SBBS" is the Steve Ball Box Set.

In 2012, Steve also released an even more ambitious project, "SBSB" (Steve Ball Sketch Box) - three CDs featuring 48 new songs, plus a bonus DVD featuring 96 mp3s and 9 SD and HD videos from his repertoire. details: http://www.steveball.com/SBSB 

Each of the songs in SBSB started as improvised seeds that blossomed into the 48 new tracks that make up the set. 

In 2013, Steve released a new book/CD package called "Motion Study" with longtime collaborator Paul O'Rear. Steve also completed an iPad app to accompany the physical book/CD.  details: http://www.steveball.com/C3 

C3 continues to play live shows throughout the Seattle area, and Steve in spring 2014, he is beginning a new set of 'odd pop' solo recordings with special guests (a host of famous / previous collaborators) from around the globe.
