Timeless techno with total devotion to the underground, to the dance floor, to clubbing, and to sensory experiences under the smoke and strobe lights.

In this compilation, you won't find a single filler track; each artist delivers impeccable production with an eye on the future of the genre, from the spatial abstraction of CONCEPTUAL to the hypnotic groove of Bøhm, the broken rhythms of Atisbo & Schrzø, the robotic synths of Finalversion3, the dystopian sequences of Irazu & Unkle Fon, the sobriety of Vegim, the luminous percussion of Roll Dann, and the dancefloor destroyer that maestro Oscar Mulero signs with that killer 909 and his sci-fi synth.

Record closer ‘Spasmoi’ is an effective club groover with dry drums and bouncing percussive elements, that offers intensity and rhythm all made possible by an artist in control.

Programming The Source represents the parallelism and the different distance that can exist between the pieces that make up the same work. On the one hand, a pattern of closeness can be identified by the sound similarity of the tracks, since Translate has opted for the homogeneity of the sci-fi sound, with its so characteristic musical phrases of high tessitura. But within this uniform and easily recognizable sound, the Argentine producer has been able to adopt a different personality with each track to separate them as much as possible within the same universe.

This album meets all the requirements to be part of Subsist record inventory, both for its musical orientation and for the extension of its format. The cosmic techno of this release admits quite different interpretations, in its 19 tracks its author offers energetic ranges that oscillate between rawness or forcefulness, and between a more peaceful and transitory style. 2021 opens with the 50th release for Animal Farm Records in the form of Spanish born newcomer, Blanka. A serious talent, Blanka's tracks show a great depth to her production. Tough yet deep sound designer is a clear mark of this young producer's talent. Backed with a superbly crafted remix by rising star Yant, the Manchester born producer weaves his own unique take of the EP's title track.

Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the evolution of dance music. As a key figure in its development, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80’s right up to the present day. It is impossible to understand his genius without taking into account the tireless work he has carried out behind the decks for over two decades. Production-wise he's been releasing records since the late 90’s, with countless 12" vinyls and several studio albums, as well as many remixes for the best players in the scene.

He runs Warm Up, his very own imprint, since 2000 as well as the label PoleGroup Records since 2004, both of which have reached the 50 releases mark. On 2013 he started a series of live A/V performances under several project names like Light and Dark, Biolive and Monochrome AV.

In 2019 he will celebrate his thirty-year career with a very special secret lineup party in Madrid that will be much talked about because of its concept and the quality of the guests.
