The Attic Music label strives to keep us dancing in these difficult times with a new EP from red hot young Portuguese talent Nørbak featuring a remix from the label’s owner Fabrizio Lapiana. 

Over the last four years, Artur Moreira has quickly established his avant-garde techno sound on labels like Semantica, Soma, Warm Up Recordings and his own label, Hayes. Always exploring the deep and dark end of the spectrum, he has picked up props from the likes of Oscar Mulero and Dasha Rush while going on to establish his name around Europe with killer sets at places like Tresor in Berlin. 

The excellent 'Pledge I' opens up with a menacing groove that burrows late into an underground cavern. It sounds earthy and organic and the rock solid kick drums get you into a state of hypnosis while the scurrying synths add more details in which to get lost. 'Pledge II' is another masterfully heady and journeying track that layers up more rubbery, propulsive kick drums with fizzing, electrified synth sounds and pads that encircle you and get you into a state of trance. It's hugely warm and atmospheric. 

Over the last decade, Lapiana and his label have become synonymous with evocative techno soundscapes on the finest labels around. Here he serves up a remix of 'Pledge III' that is perfectly smooth and seductive, with soft, looping melodic phrases slowly shapeshifting and melting your mind as they do so. The drums burrow deep into the night and make this a timeless minimal techno classic.  Last of all, 'Pledge IV' is a silky techno track that rolls to infinity, with cosmic pads and subtle melodies all weaving around each other and tying your brain in knots.  

This is another tasteful EP of high grade techno that works mind, body and soul.

The Portuguese sci-fi maker Nørbak is back to @oscarmulero's Warm Up Recordings home after his Faktor EP from January 2019. These non-clubbing days look like the perfect scenario for listening to long-distance works, so here you have this brand new album to enjoy at your private sound system.

"Flesh to Ashes" will be released both physically and digitally, with an extra track on the downloadable version.

Nørbak is well known for his precision and deepness, always pushing forward production-wise, focusing on the details and sound design aspects.

The album gravitates between beatless cuts, broken beats, profound exercises and virtual dancefloor weapons.

"Intro" and "Camera" (the extra digital track) belong to the first category, "The Third Morality" is the broken cut, "Flesh to Ashes" and "Land of Sin" explore the deepest side of techno and the rest of the tracklist is about peak time tracks.

The overall feeling while listening to this album is travelling out there where no gravity is the mood, swinging among stars and constellations, landing on undiscovered planets … a landscape with no viruses or facemasks or repression.

A collection of atemporal tracks that will surely pass the test of time and be ready to be playable whenever this nightmare ends.

Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the evolution of dance music. As a key figure in its development, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80’s right up to the present day. It is impossible to understand his genius without taking into account the tireless work he has carried out behind the decks for over two decades. Production-wise he's been releasing records since the late 90’s, with countless 12" vinyls and several studio albums, as well as many remixes for the best players in the scene.

He runs Warm Up, his very own imprint, since 2000 as well as the label PoleGroup Records since 2004, both of which have reached the 50 releases mark. On 2013 he started a series of live A/V performances under several project names like Light and Dark, Biolive and Monochrome AV.

In 2019 he will celebrate his thirty-year career with a very special secret lineup party in Madrid that will be much talked about because of its concept and the quality of the guests.
