Two years have passed since his last release on Token Records, and now Jeroen Search is back with his unmistakable style for a lesson in techno production called ‘Shadow Dimension’. Stripped down and minimal, we’re reminded that the original character of this music can be found in the hissing of circuits and the impact of analog distortion.

Wasting no time, Search kicks the record off at full pace with a spacey arpeggio and resonating percussion. Hiding ‘Light Spinner’ in initial obscurity, the Dutchman reveals steady intrigue by controlling tension and opening up his elements throughout its duration. The fluttering synthline is quickly exchanged for shuffled hi hats and a brutally monophonic lead. What begins as a rather two-dimensional track is given depth by levitating pads wide in the stereo image and competing 909 rides. Still a rhythm-heavy record, Search gives ‘Six Requests’ thrilling atmospheres to a throbbing core. Moving on to the B-side, the seasoned producer starts fresh with a warbly lead over a layered kick drum in ‘Ten Foot Radius’. Keeping things simple most of the time, Search fiddles lightheartedly with his parameters to turn his synth into almost noise over a steady percussion. The quirkiness of the record has a more aggressive underbelly, luring the listener into a club ready cut. Moving on to the closer ‘Restore Balance’, Search does just that. Finding a groove in a quicker percussion-line, bouncy keys hop about a fun but concentrated record. An ever evolving structure cutting along, he plays with the dry of his percussion and the wet of his synths, mastering the unique production style he’s known for.

"Amotik recruits Norway's Kameliia and Dallas-based Decoder for the third split EP on his increasingly essential AMTK+ label.

Kameliia's hypnotic and atmospheric music has appeared on the likes of Overbalance and Unterwegs, where she has previously flexed her sophisticated take on sound design and heady soundscapes with driving and physical grooves. Decoder recently started his new Toca label with Jay York and has previously appeared on labels like Subsist, Float and Jeff Mills' legendary Axis.

Kameliia kicks off with the heavy and thumping 'Beyond', combining forceful drums and a slow, mystical synth lead that encourages you to follow it deep into the night. '8-12' is another perfect fusion of the head and body with supple percussion smeared with balmy and cosmic chords for a classy and immersive cut.

Decoder opens the B-side with 'Kalpavriksha', a twitchy and paranoid cut laced with bleeps and pulses, crafting a futuristic soundscape that grows ever more intense. 'Swayambhu' brings experimental shades with its tightly interlaced drums and synths beneath an unsettling synth line that whistles like a storm. Closing the release is the excellent 'Velinattu,' a buoyant track that’s warm and full of delicate percussive layers."

There was a certain curiosity about Lewis Fautzi's next step with us. Despite his own personal style, we couldn't imagine that he would choose to release a new atmospheric and experimental album. The result is absolutely stunning. 'Manner of Death' was produced during one of the worst moments of his life and the feelings he put into it are not relatable for most of us but yet understandable. Besides all this there aren't enough words we can write about it. All we can do is be thankful for such a masterpiece!

Our new digital album comes from the hands and mind of a very young and talented creator from the Basque Country, Asier Morillas, also known as A4. In his relatively short career he has managed to release in some of the key labels in the sci fi techno realm such as Jeff Mills’ Axis Records, Faut Section, Illegal Alien or SUB_tl to name but a few.

He is one example of passion about music production, developing his skills studying with the best teachers, putting his money and time into perfecting anything audio or gear related, taking his time slowly to create a quality musical output.

We noticed him early on his path, and followed his progress until luckily he sent us a formidable demo comprising no less than 20 tracks. This album is the result of a careful selection after playing his demo all over the planet in the best clubs and festivals.

Music wise, Asier dives deep into the alien and outer space sounds of the future, with a minimalistic approach on the sonic components using only what is needed with efficiency as leitmotiv.

During this eleven track journey, he starts completely beatless and bleepy on the intro tune No Gravity, going subtly into the groove with Axis of Rotation, dynamically using the 909 sounds as a virtual jazz drummer combined with asymmetrical sequences and textures. Between the Stars continues the journey, again with extremely complex drum programming, bleeps, drones and old scifi movie vocal samples. Floating Free brings exactly what the title suggests and Polaris goes shuffled and deconstructed until Kynosoura and Eternally return to the alien dancehall.

The North Star, Spectral and Vega bring back the flotation and non gravity feel also focusing on the groove and the dance while Year 2100 finishes the space journey in a solid manner, showcasing his personal mixture of complex rhythms, skillful arrangement and sonic mastery.

An absolute delight to have such a talented person onboard and we are sure this is just the beginning of a solid career in this sometimes overloaded business.

It is always our pleasure to have new talents in the house, and we’ve been following Notzing’s development since long ago. His approach to techno is absolutely personal and complex, hard and intrincated, mental and physical.
 
Protae is the first missile in this box full of weapons, a super busy techno exercise with compacted drums, drilling synth lines and random metallic hits breaking the monotony. The effect on the floor is devastating and has been tested extensively in dancefloors worldwide by label owner Oscar Mulero in the past months.  7 minutes of pure dancefloor mayhem.
 
Fagus continues with the sickness, with hysterical synth washe repeating an hypnotic chant, adding layers of sound as the groove goes by. Repetition is here the key to proper trance, not exactly with pleasant tones but by aggression.
 
Ekaterin is gummy and elastic with formant synth sounds chewing frequencies and changing constantly in shape. Another mental mantra with a physical drive.
 
Molniya slows down the pace and dives into profound sound scapes full of unnatural underwater sounds and washes providing a feeling of scuba diving.
 
To end this sonic odyssey, Emision goes completely beatless, growing from the profound sub bass frequencies to crispy and crunchy surface noises, creating the soundtrack of floating in outer space with no gravity. Please beware of the super intense bass tones when playing on a big sound system.
The perfect combination of experimentation and punchiness, keep an eye on this guy, is gonna make some proper noise in the coming years.

Italian producer Giuseppe Scaccia aka D-leria, affiliated with labels such as Avian, Semantica and Non Series, debuts on Sciahri label Sublunar with his 'Contrasto' Ep.

The Ep showcases Scaccia's ability to move between the most classic techno to the most futuristic, while maintaining his own well-defined and recognisable identity.
The record opens with the dirty groove and hypnotic vocals of 'Carioca', before moving on to the more classic and edgy sound of 'Disorder', a secret weapon produced in 2016 and played in every set by the artist. 
 This is followed by the tribal, resonant sound of 'Pangea' on the B-side, and the fast-paced, sound design laden 'Rabid'.

Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the evolution of dance music. As a key figure in its development, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80’s right up to the present day. It is impossible to understand his genius without taking into account the tireless work he has carried out behind the decks for over two decades. Production-wise he's been releasing records since the late 90’s, with countless 12" vinyls and several studio albums, as well as many remixes for the best players in the scene.

He runs Warm Up, his very own imprint, since 2000 as well as the label PoleGroup Records since 2004, both of which have reached the 50 releases mark. On 2013 he started a series of live A/V performances under several project names like Light and Dark, Biolive and Monochrome AV.

In 2019 he will celebrate his thirty-year career with a very special secret lineup party in Madrid that will be much talked about because of its concept and the quality of the guests.
