Exos is the Icelandic label head of Planet X and has recently brought attention to the terrible events in Colombia against its own people. Corruption, unfairness and police brutality from the government entities spawned the release of a 99-track fundraising compilation from the techno community featuring Nina Kraviz, FJAAK, Oscar Mulero, Marcel Fengler, Rødhåd, Ben Sims, Psyk, Jonas Kopp amongst a multitude of others, and you can check it out HERE to support the many charity organisations helping in the country.

The newest EP for the label welcomes back Gotshell who is proving himself as a ferocious force from the Colombian scene having now released his excellent music on the likes of Bas Mooy’s Mord, James Ruskin’s Blueprint, Ellen Allien’s BPitch, as well as collaborating with Jeroen Search for Shlomi Aber’s Be As One imprint.

For this DT:Premiere we chose the opening track “Cluster” that is a dark and moody monster. Abstract to some, it’s also fully functional, as it explores a spacey and analogue aesthetic with warping, modular bleeps that breathe and morph over the growling bass tremors.

We are glad to welcome the mighty Sleeparchive to our family. The Berliner gives us two original tracks plus two remixes by label boss Oscar Mulero. 
"Window 057" is an arpeggiated tool made of a crazy synth sequence, shuffled hats and subtle kick drums in a constantly moving structure.
"Window 092" starts with a massive bass drum accompanied by synthetic bleeps and noises that soon are joined by repetitive sequences carrying the flow.
Oscar Mulero's remix for "Window 057" is a cleaner approach to the original, less shuffled on the rhythms but with a lot more movement on the arpeggiated synth lines.
The "Window 092" remake slows down the pressure on behalf of a more liquid approach on the drums, and is more reverberated and deep. Oscar adds more percussive elements and puts the bleeps away using the main sequence as the centre of the arrangement

Berlin’s ZentaSkai continues his slew of limited-run 200-copy vinyl releases via his Mask Records this July, presenting the ‘JIMMY’ EP, and following up last year’s ‘Bob’ EP and two instalments from his Cuddling Monsters project with Laura Merino Allue. Across the four tracks on ‘JIMMY’, ZentaSkai delves deep, placing mysterious, foreboding synths over crunchy taped drums and exploring a variety of tempos. Dub influences are rife, its elements echoing across carefully laid-out Techno grooves while minimal shifts subtly build the energy. With ‘JIMMY’, ZentaSkai once again offers a journey through sound already supported by Luke Slater, Blasha & Allatt, Truncate, Elisa Bee, and many more. ZentaSkai (aka No Mad Ronin, Matt Nowak, and MASK) is a German DJ and producer active since 1997. Based out of his studio in Berlin, ZentaSkai runs the Zaijenroots label and, since 2017, the Mask sub-label, which houses his stunning 2023 ‘Architecture of the Mind’ LP as well as his Cuddling Monsters alias - with other credits including a release on Jerome Sydenham’s Ibadan Records and support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Joseph Capriati, Marcel Dettmann, Luke Slater, Laurent Garnier, DVS1, Ben Sims and Radio Slave.

Straight from the confines of her chosen Berlin home, @ladystarlightnyc impresses with an update of her singular, machine-driven techno. Ranging from banging to introspective, this record shows the artist at her most versatile yet, pairing her signature bone-dry analog output with emotive atmospherics and playful vibrancy.
Starting out deep, A1 contrasts uptempo acid licks with grand layers of strings, followed by the slowly building, equally vibey A2. Panoramic washes create an ambiance of space, the elastic kick steadily holding down the floor until a late swash of percussion seals the deal.
The flip carries one of Starlight’s most abrasive moments, featuring rave-style sirens right out the gate, treated to some crazy live filtering with epic acidic effects. Mysterious grooves on the last track, its offbeat synth swaying an electric tension, restrained yet powerful.

b.mod has been on spirited form of late and this release sees him continue to forge his own sound through the medium of machines. Raw Uluz, Revolution & Shuttle don their own unique properties but remain with that singular tough, raw and hypnotic b.mod sound. 

With an already mighty discography, Ike Dusk drops a tripped out, stripped back and ominous version of Revolution. Rising star E.L.I.A.S completes the package in fine form as a crunching, tweekin’ rework of Shuttle closes the EP with some high energy.

Oscar Mulero's DJ career has been as prolific and long lasting as the evolution of dance music. As a key figure in its development, Oscar has always absorbed new trends and kept his finger on the pulse of electronic dance music, from the end of the 80’s right up to the present day. It is impossible to understand his genius without taking into account the tireless work he has carried out behind the decks for over two decades. Production-wise he's been releasing records since the late 90’s, with countless 12" vinyls and several studio albums, as well as many remixes for the best players in the scene.

He runs Warm Up, his very own imprint, since 2000 as well as the label PoleGroup Records since 2004, both of which have reached the 50 releases mark. On 2013 he started a series of live A/V performances under several project names like Light and Dark, Biolive and Monochrome AV.

In 2019 he will celebrate his thirty-year career with a very special secret lineup party in Madrid that will be much talked about because of its concept and the quality of the guests.
