Back in 1995 I started hanging with Karim Mansour and we ran hard together till about 2002 when life does that funny thing of changing.  But, during those 7 years if you were young and lived any where near the Tampa area, you knew something about "the scene." Name your club,  Mars, Boat yard, Cimi's Motel after hours (my personal favorite).....and even Karim's house in Dunedin.  We had a blast! Everybody loved Karim and I loved Djin at his house parties.  Through all those years, anyone who knew Karim, knew how much he loved the female vocal tunes.  Since his recent passing I've been thinking a lot about him, and remembering them years.  I went digging through my old records and found some gems.  Threw down and this is what came out.  I have to admit, it's been years since I've played this type of music, and it was like riding a bike. 15 favorites that all bring back distinct memories, and if you were anywhere around during those years, hopefully they will for you too.
