Patrick Topping announces ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’ 

Trick label boss Patrick Topping recruits a host of modern dance music’s most exciting talents for ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’, the imprint's latest compilation. Showcasing his knack for A&R and keenness on pushing fresh talent, the roster contains numerous first-timers on the label as well as returning fan favourites.

Doppelschnepfen sind scheue Bodenbrüter in Moorgebieten. Infolge der Zerstörung und Trockenlegung ihres Lebensraums ist sie als Brutvogel in Deutschland leider vollständig verschwunden. Die letzten deutschen Brutvögel gab es in den 1930er Jahren in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Ihre Balz ist ein besonderes Naturschauspiel: In Balz-Arenen finden sich bis zu 20 Männchen zur Gruppenbalz ein. Dabei trägt jeder seinen Balzgesang vor und springt immer wieder flatternd ein bis zwei Meter in die Luft. Der Name Doppelschnepfe stammt aus der Jägersprache und bezieht sich auf die Größe des Vogels; da sie doppelt so groß wie eine Zwergschnepfe ist.

We are very lucky to finally get Gerd to do a mix for us as part of the Phonica Mix Series, so we hope you enjoy it. He describes the more disco flavoured-mix as "more the 2007 Computer-Incarnations-for-World-Peace-Gerd than the sadly non-existent 2020 Ibiza-Gerd."
