        Andre ‘I-Dre’ Welch was born in Kingston, Jamaica and grew up in Kingston 13. At a young age I-Dre was exposed to music by being around his uncle ‘Bounty’ who was a selector for a well-known Kingston sound called ‘Agony Sound.’ As he grew up he was given the opportunity to play music on the same “Agony Sound’ and he began exploring his talents as a “selector” (DJ). After his experiences with Agony Sound I-Dre began to expand within the music by developing songs of his own. Heavily influenced as a youth by music from artists such as Sizzla Kalonji, Capleton & many more. He started to write lyrics “and melodies came next,” as he said. 
	In 2012 I-Dre released his debut single along with a music video entitled “Ras Mi Know” produced by Riddim Yut out of South Africa. He also released a song called “Only Jah Jah” produced by Wadadah II from D.O.V.E. Muzik. His most recent release is a song called “Rude Boyz in America featuring Nego Hights” produced by Wadadah II from D.O.V.E. Muzik. I-Dre is also looking forward to a mix-tape coming soon called “No Limit Ras.” 
	I-Dre first performed at a night-club in Evanston, IL called Bills Blues. He then went on to perform at the Kinetic Playground for a local artist showcase in Chicago; Also Exodus II night-club in Chicago, IL. In 2014 I-Dre performed at the International Festival of Life in Chicago; Reggae Tropical Addiction Series at Montrose Beach in Chicago, IL along with the his D.O.V.E. Muzik family; and most recently at Pilsen’s Roots Rock Reggae Festival at La Catrina Café alongside the Natty Congo Crew from Mexico.     
	His music is fiery, fresh and I-Dre has a very clever flow to deliver the truths and rights to a new and upcoming generation. Now linked with Ras Wadadah II he has been given an outlet at D.O.V.E. Muzik to express himself. He always says, "there are a lot of examples in the music that are good examples of slackness, why not be the opposite to show the youths another way."
