The album Pipiltzintzintli is conceived within a concept around the notion of psychedelia in electronic music elaborated in conjunction with hardware and modular systems where the repetitive motifs are chosen for their organic and cerebral aspect with the intention of seeking to act physically on the listener thanks to the sounds as active principles, as psychotropic. 

The idea within this album is to maintain a Techno approach but more minimalist, with a reduced use of percussive and/or melodic elements. 

It seeks to access a deeper sonic dimension, the inner self, a mental image like an imaginary, unconscious landscape. 

According to the artist, here is also an acid dimension to the album, with references to a whole section of the history of repetitive electronic music: Warp's pre-2000 period with LFO and the distinctive sound of early Plastikman are especially present here. 

The opus is completed by the unique touch of producer friends @geinst & @inerit who reinvent a track of their choice in their own way.

About the mix:

"In this mix I tried to present some of the essence of my current approach to deep and hypnotic techno music. The sound I usually look for is rich in organic elements, deep atmospheres that play an important role and has some psychedelic properties. The selection of tracks is chosen in such a way as to reflect an attempt to expressively paint soundscapes relating to some parts of inner self as well as to nature of which we are all a part. The whole mix is kept in a theme of continuous tunnel sound, with changing themes that trigger different emotions. Sometimes solemn and monumental, and sometimes more down-to-earth, but still always in a thoughtful atmosphere."

About exoførm:

DJ and producer from Kraków, Poland. Better known for his other project MENTØL, under which he releases freeform forest psychedelic trance music on the Medulla Oblongata label. Member of the Implemental collective. He got involved in the hypnotic/deep techno scene in 2024. After discovering that techno can be based on more organic, atmospheric and natural sound, with the fair amount of psychedelia, he was immediately hooked. While learning about these subgenres, he was amazed to discover that the community associated with this music, much like the one linked to psychedelic trance, shares several commonalities - particularly in seeking inspiration from nature for musical ideas. This was surprising to him, as he had previously associated techno primarily with industrial influences. During a period of significant personal changes, discovering this music brought him great value and a fresh perspective on electronic music as a whole. Delving deeper into the complexities of this genre has led to countless sonic adventures, which have significantly enriched the artistic side of his life. Besides telling stories through mixing music, he’s currently patiently working on his own productions, which he plans to release in the future.

The third release in our catalogue comes as both a high quality digital release and a limited edition 140g transparent vinyl with black smoke, pressed in Italy and presented in a matte sleeve with full colour artwork. Celestial is a carefully woven journey that searches and probes, be it the outer reaches of space or the inner depths of oneself. Perfectly blending the themes of space exploration and astrology, the EP opens with a brooding wash of atmospheres and voice samples, before broken rhythms, lush pads and moody ethereal tones carry the voyage through the A Side. The B Side sees the record open up into two tracks perfect for deep immersion on the dance floor, with Unbound offering an atmospheric cruise fit for early morning bliss. And finally, we are humbled to have a remix from deep techno stalwart Ness closing out the EP - a ritualistic stomper that reworks the original atmospheres of Critical Functions into an uptempo dub techno infused gem.
