Diana Driș, based in Transylvania, leans into different sides of techno, broken beats, bass and everything in between, with a soft spot for off-kilter textures and twists. Through her monthly Pearlescent Show on Black Rhino Radio, she presents a broad spectrum of deep music, blending multiple moods and patterns. 

This mix is inspired by the feeling of a forest hike, where everything slowly unfolds. Calm stretches shifting into sudden ascents or descents. The pace sometimes eases, while at other moments it drives harder and faster, echoing those bursts of energy found along the trail. Tracks have been chosen for their earthy, raw qualities, alongside others that bring sharper edges and dynamic tension, keeping the journey alive and balanced. Podcast 066 - DIANA DRIŞ

Dator was created during a music production challenge, where over 210 members of Aedi were invited to make a track using samples provided by artist alumni of The Memoir podcast.

All submissions were collected in an anonymous playlist and voted on by everyone in the community. The title and artwork underwent similar democratic processes.

A special thanks to Daniel[i], John Plaza, Launaea, Martyn Päsch, Michal Wolski, Orion, Pattrn, Svarog and Tiferet for contributing sounds to the Aedi collective.

Rain falls here in Brooklyn as time marches on and the changing of seasons creeps ever so closer. The long days of summer wane, fall will soon be upon us. With the shift in seasons, comes a move inside, and for many, a period of recovery from a hectic summer season. Rosario Piscosquito aka Vidění’s forthcoming album ‘Ocean Resonance’ on Ambient Matter marks their second release on the Indefinite Pitch sub-label and the first of this year. 

From cover to cover, Piscosquito expertly guides listeners through a variety of musical realms, maintaining a certain gravitas and crafting a coherent story from beatless to beat, and back again, with each track building on what came before. Refracted Light, our premiere for today sits early in the album but gives a teaser to what lies ahead. Intricate drum patterns and tribalistic bongos scattered throughout lay the foundation for ethereal pads and subtle melodies that continue to unfold for the duration of the track.

Refracted Light and the rest of Vidění’s Ocean Resonance release will be out on September 15th, and we highly recommend checking out the rest of the album.

TAMA - Arc (w/ Remix by Rambadu)

Spanning multiple decades, the friendship between Markus Guentner and Joachim Spieth started with contributions to Kompakt’s Pop Ambient series in 2001. At the time, neither could anticipate how the future or their respective artistic paths would unfold. Over the years, both have been a guiding presence throughout their careers as they delve farther and farther into ambient and beyond. Striving for only the utmost quality in productions and expression of self.

Coalescing in 2023, the pair combined their musical talents for their first album together titled, ‘Overlay’ released on Spieth’s label, Affin. Deep, rhythmic, and bathed in texture, it marked the next musical evolution and a harbinger of what is to come.

Enter ‘Conversion’. The seven tracker builds upon themes established in ‘Overlay’, a melding of layered textures and encompassing percussion, giving a sense of weight, heavy with emotion. Our premiere for today, Vortex smoothly enters the mind, with comforting pads, and a subtle uplifting notion. The warmth from the drone-like melodies is echoed into the steady muted kicks that provide an energetic boost to the track.

Vortex, and in turn ‘Conversion’ will be released on October 3rd via Affin.

PREMIERE: Guentner Spieth - Vortex [AFFIN]

Always a pleasure to support our good friends over at @secuencias_temporales, this time with a new artist from a familiar background. 

Melbourne-based producer Adam McCoy, formerly known as Citizen Maze, debuts his new alias Backwards Cavern.

The project began taking shape in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns, a period where isolation and lifestyle changes sparked a new musical direction and a desire to work on more glitchy and open-ended experimentation. Backwards Cavern represents a step beyond the constraints Adam felt about Citizen Maze, while still carrying forward familiar elements such as sweeping pads, field recordings, and distinctive progressions.

Fractured Chapel is a collection of works written between 2020 and 2024, capturing the gradual shift from Citizen Maze to his new project, Backwards Cavern. Some tracks were first created with Citizen Maze in mind but were later transformed to reflect a different sound and direction.

Each piece draws inspiration from specific environments from urban spaces, coastal settings to mountainous landscapes, using place and atmosphere to shape mood and tone. Musically, the album pulls from IDM, cinematic and tribal textures, and subtle drum and bass influences, reflecting a balance between experimentation and evolution.

AF Premiere: Backwards Cavern - Nomad Static [Secuencias Temporales][OUT!!22.09.25]

Over the last few years, we’ve had the utmost pleasure in highlighting an incredible music scene rooted across the ocean in Barcelona. Like the living, breathing entity that it is, the tendrils reach far and wide, connecting artists, and music lovers from around the world. Deep, rhythmic, pulsing low ends, frenetic half-time snares. Spiraling melodies and hypnotic elements all combine into an incredible mixture that gives life to all. At the heart of this thriving community and our focus for today is one of its musical stewards, Patrick Russell. A pure professional, always providing discerning sets from behind the decks, today we listen to him in a different fashion as he provides a rare remix that embodies these sounds and times.

Forth-coming on Argentinian label Danza Nativa, Ancient Apparition is a four tracker by co-founder Kyntral that oozes rich bass lines and snappy percussion. Each song unfolds ever so smoothly, stretching its muscles and taking up space. Patrick Russell’s ‘Phantom’ remix of the title track moves us down a darker path, with horn-like synths and undulating bass lines that give tension and an energetic kick, a taste of what is to come later…

Ancient Apparition will be out on September 29th, both on digital and vinyl.

Under the alias Attaché there is a young Polish producer Adam Dabrowski from Katowice. He has started his experience with music in 2010 when he got inspired by the artists of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival.
Attaché music is result of different artist’s interests and hobbies like history, sport or military. He also producing videoclips for his music.

First time about the artist was loud after release his remix on the Prevision EP of Viadrina in October 2014. Track has been very well received by audience and professional environment. Marcel Dettmann gave him a max score, Andrew Weatherall played track during his set in Athens, same as John Digweed (#1 DJmag in 2001) in his audition Transitions. 

In March 2015, he performed support in Chris Clark's (Warp Records) concerts in Teatr Laznia Nowa (Cracow, PL) and Basen Club (Warsaw, PL). 
A breakthrough came in October 2016 when YouTube channel HATE released his track - Pyongyang. Worth to mention, this track was sensational success in techno community - after few months has beat 100K views on YouTube. Next HATE’s release Sarajevo became hit on Balkan’s techno scene, so Attaché decided to moved for year to Ljubljana, Slovenia.

He released 2 EPs: ”Walls” and ”Edinburgh”. He also cooperated with Polish artists like Wudec, Kuba Sojka, Błażej Malinowski or French Deevai. 
In October 2017, he released regular album Consolidation on Oslated label with his longtime partner Wudec.
Now he is preparing new material for upcoming album.

Attaché 는 폴란드, 카토비체 출신의 젊은 프로듀서이다. 그는 2010년 Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival 의 예술가들로부터 영감을 얻어 음악을 시작했다.
Attaché 음악은 역사, 스포츠 또는 군대와 같은 다양한 예술의 관심사 및 취미의 결과물이다. 그는 또한 자신의 음악을 위한 비디오 클립을 직접 제작하고 있다.

2014년 10월 Viadrina 의 Prevision EP 에 리믹스에 참여하며 데뷔를 하였고, 이 리믹스는 Marcel Dettmann 이 최대 점수를 주었고, 유명 아티스트들에게 높은 평가를 받으며, 아티스트로서의 행보를 시작한다.
2016년 10월 Youtube 의 채널 HATE 에서 Pyongyang 뮤직비디오를 발표 하면서 돌파구가 마련 되었고, 이 뮤직비디오는 테크노 커뮤니티에서 놀라운 성공을 거두며, 현재까지 13만 뷰를 기록하고 있다. 
연이어 HATE 에서 출시한 사라예보 뮤직비디오 또한 큰 인기를 얻게 되었다. 

그는 그동안 Wudec, Kuba Sojka, Błażej Malinowski, French Deevai 와 같은 폴란드 예술가들과 함께 작업을 하였으며,  Walls 와 Edinburgh EP 를 발표했고, 2017년 10월엔 그의 오랜 파트너 Wudec 과 함께 Oslated 에서 정규 앨범 Consolidation 을 릴리즈하였다.
이제 그는 새로운 앨범을 준비중에 있다.
