An audiovisual set for Currents.fm’s “COMMON Multiverse Initiative” streaming festival in March 2021. I sourced video clips from around the internet and created a collage exploring ideas of decomposition & regeneration set to a matching DJ set, drawing inspiration from Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing’s book "The Mushroom at the End of the World".

With a knack for deep, trance-tinged and bangin tunes, they are quickly making a name for themselves in the local scene. So grateful they could be a part of the series!

Podcast No 49 comes from @Volster who has gradually become one of the most noted figures of the Croatian electronic scene, leaving his signature through production, DJing, event organisation and running a label imprint: @secessionrec.

The main subculture Marko was positively exposed to in the 90’s was techno, a style he has been practising for almost two decades now. As he was performing within and outside the Croatian borders, Volster gradually started experimenting and developing his signature textured sound leading him to sing and publish his work across his own labels and others such as Edit Select, @Vakum-Records and @northallsenrecords to name a few.

To this day, Volster has performed all across Europe ranging from clubs to festivals like Dimensions Festival and Modem Festival which brought him to his most notable appearance and debut performance at @berghain in September 2019.

On the 70th episode of the MindTrip podcast, we welcome one of Brazil's finest techno exports, The Lady Machine. Born in Rio de Janeiro and based in Berlin, Camilla has been involved in the electronic music scene for the last 20 years mainly as a purist vinyl DJ.
Her sound is based on a complex structure of rhythms with dark synth lines and rich textures, while her versatile sets are characterized by her precise mixing technique and exceptional track selection. Dragon Dreaming 2022 - this festival was the first party I ever attended many years ago, the first time I ever played a set completely made up of my own creations and a place that has shaped my life and sound in so many ways. Seeing it flying again after three long years on hiatus and being reunited with so many special people was an absolute treat. The lake was full, the skies were blue, the grass was green and there were smiles all around. This is a recording of the icing on the cake, being given the privilege of playing the closing set on the main stage was a real full circle moment for me, and one I will always cherish, so thank you to the organisers and everyone who was there for the whole weekend and made it so bloody special. Hope you enjoy <3

Latmos is a Finnish Techno producer, DJ and live artist, known from his handcrafted and hypnotic tracks. All of his music is made live with hardware only. He first frew attention in the Techno community with his strong debut 12” Pool of Intuition EP, released on Samuli Kemppi’s and Frederik Hatsav’s label Blacklabel Distillery. Latmos has released music on labels such as Subosc and Cinus. 

The music of Latmos has been supported around the globe by well respected DJs like: Oscar Mulero, Patrik Skoog, Dimi Angelis, P.E.A.R.L, Denise Rabe, Magna Pia, Dino Sabatini, Vincent Neumann, Samuli Kemppi and Juho Kusti to name a few.

Latmos is known from his adventurous style as a DJ. He is able to transition effortlessly from a different mood or tempo to another and keep the listeners always on their toes. As a verstile DJ Latmos can adapt into many different venues and occasions, always bringing something fresh and interesting to the table.

Influenced by sounds such as bebop or progressive psychedelic rock and focused on experimental and ambient music rather than clubbing in its beginnings, Pharma later delved into deep and immersive sound, creating an amalgam that has been interconnected over time to finally take shape in both listening and clubbing sets with a specific musical discourse in each context, connected to dub, trippy sounds and ambient landscapes, where the density between lights and shadows promotes mental activity that prevails over physical activity.

He's notably the planner behind the electronic music festival 'PROMPT', delivering fresh audiovisual experiences, and a co-founder of the underground music community 'tread', contributing to the establishment of a free and vibrant music ecosystem. He also maintains an active presence as a member of the renowned electronic music label 'Oslated'. Currently, he operates 'atdge', a DJ bar in Seoul, directly engaging and connecting with listeners on the ground.

Maharam is an American DJ and co-organizer of Final Passage, a Brooklyn-based event series emphasizing leftfield curation across both club and deep listening environments. Maharam's affinity for deeper sound is rooted in the melancholic landscapes of his Pacific Northwest upbringing, as well as his background as a guitarist and jazz vocalist. After moving to New York seven years ago, Brooklyn's rich DIY scene has been central to his life, acting as a constant source of inspiration and connection. In his mix for Oslated, Maharam shares a carefully crafted meditation through emotive ambient, dub techno, and textural electronics.

Oslated Mix Episode 125 - Isolated Lines

Isolated Lines is a Swiss musician exploring dense and rhythmically experimental techno.
					
Though Isolated Lines is still a relatively new project, the man behind the moniker has been involved in band projects, sound engineering jobs and Switzerland's underground music scene in general for some years. Coming from a background of listening to and playing in rock, indie and noise groups, his tracks are as much informed by the energy and dynamics of live performance and sound science as they are by the endless possibilities of electronic production. So far, they have found a home on established Swiss label Creaked and been picked up by Tommy Four Seven for release on his 47 imprint.
						
Isolated Lines productions are warmly textural and full of subtleties, usually favouring trippy, hypnotic grooves over outright aggression. Whilst most of the detail is consciously designed, Isolated Lines makes music in a way which leaves space for randomness and organic elements; listen to the off kilter swing of 'Raze' or his remix for Gaspard De La Montagne, for example. Especially through a decent sound system, the layers evolve and interact with an exciting air of unpredictability.
						
As with his studio gear, the live setup is subject to constant change and development. Certain characteristics remain within the sound and the way it is presented though: ambitious arrangements, soaring, euphoric pads and hard hitting drums. His material is versatile enough for pitch­black basements and early morning festival sets alike.

Isolated Lines 는 밀도있고 리드미컬한 실험적인 테크노를 탐구하고 있는 스위스 뮤지션이다.

Isolated Line 은 여전히 비교적 새로운 프로젝트지만, 그는 이전에도 몇 년동안 밴드 프로젝트들과 사운드 엔지니어링 작업들, 그리고 스위스의 언더그라운드 음악씬에 주로 관여해왔었다. 록과 인디, 노이즈 음악들을 듣고 플레이해온 그의 배경에서 비롯된 그의 작품들은 라이브 퍼포먼스의 에너지와 역동성, 그리고 전자음악의 무한한 가능성을 보여주는 과학적인 음향들로 알려져 있다. 그는 스위스 레이블 Cracked Records 에서 앨범을 발매했고, Tommy Four Seven 의 47 레이블에서 앨범을 내기도 했다.

Isolated Line 의 작품들은 온화한 텍스처들과 미묘함들로 가득 차 있으며, 대체로 트리피 하면서도, 최면적인 그루브를 공격적으로 나타내고 있다. 대부분의 디테일들은 의도적으로 디자인 되어 있으나, Isolated Lines 은 유기적이고 무작위적으로 들리는 부분들을 남기는 방식으로 음악을 만드는데, Gaspard De La Montagne 를 위한 리믹스와 그의 트랙 Raze 에서 이런 특징들을 볼수있으며, 특히 좋은 사운드 시스템에서는 레이어들이 발전하면서도 예측할 수 없는 흥미로운 분위기로 상호작용 하는 것을 잘 볼 수있다.

그의 스튜디오 장비들과 마찬가지로 그의 라이브 셋업 또한 항상 변화하고 발전하고 있다. 대담한 배치, 솟아나는 행복감을 느끼게 하는 패드 사운드와 강하게 다가오는 드럼소리들과 같은 그의 특징적인 소리들은 그대로 남아 있다. 그의 작품들은  어두운 지하의 클럽과 패스티벌 새벽을 가리지 않는 충분히 다채로운 소리들을 들려주고 있다.

Pushing sounds that are as much drone-inspired as they are psychedelic and nature-driven, his remit falls within the deeper shades of electronic music. 2019 has proven to be a busy year so far, with shows in London, Berlin, Lithuania, Morocco and Tbilisi to be followed by an Astral Industries x Mysteries of the Deep Far East tour, which includes a night in Seoul (at vurt) on October 26th. 2019.

Hems occasionally plays live at London-based showcases and is also behind the Camera Obscura party in London which consistently promotes underground dance music in an intimate setting.

Hems 는 런던을 기반으로 하는 프로듀서이자 섬세한 앰비언트, 테크노 콜렉터로 알려져 있다. 그는 기존 테크노의 리듬과 사운드 디자인에 중점을 두는 진보적인 사운드를 동시에 추구한다. Hems 는 가끔 런던 기반의 쇼케이스들에서 라이브로 플레이를 하며, 친숙한 언더그라운드 음악을 소개하는 Camera Obscura 파티에서 활동한다.

The Alchemical Theory project was born from the creative union of three producers very different from each other but at the same time very similar. The identity of the project has been very influenced by the favorite sounds of the three artists, ranging from modular electronic sounds to much more atmospheric sounds. This project also comes from the love of mysticism, alchemy and nature. In each release they want to represent something that affects the listener's mind, reproducing a real mental journey.

The Alchemical Theory 프로젝트는 서로 다르지만 동시에 유사성을 보이는 3명의 프로듀서의 창조적인 합작에서 탄생했다.
이 프로젝트의 정체성은 그들 3명의 아티스트가 선호하는 모듈러 전자음악에서부터 더 많은 음향적, 대기적 사운드에 영향받았으며, 신비주의적, 연금술과 자연에 영감받았다.
그들은 앨범을 릴리즈 할때 마다, 참된 정신적 여정을 재현하여, 청자의 내면에 영향을 주는 무언가를 나타내고자 한다.

Salamanda is an Ambient music producer group, consisting of Seoul-based electronic music producer & DJ Uman (a.k.a. Sala) and Yetsuby (a.k.a. Manda).

Salamanda believes every sound in the world can be portrayed as beautiful, and loves to collect and create music out of sounds that are often considered as "noises."

Sharing the love for minimal, ambient, and many other genres of music, Salamanda has been presenting its own unique dreamy and humid tracks via Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Instagram and many more, and mixes of the two members have been introduced in <Monthly SCR: June> of Seoul Community Radio.

Salamanda aims to broaden its musical horizons and introduce more experimental pieces in the future through DJ sets, mixes, live sets, etc.

Salamanda was released its debut album 'Our Lair' EP through [Tonal Unity] label in September 2019.

Salamanda 는 서울의 전자음악 프로듀서이자 DJ인 Uman a.k.a. Sala 와 Yetsuby a.k.a. Manda 의 Ambient 프로듀싱 그룹이다. Salamanda 는 세상의 모든 소리가 아름답게 표현될 수 있다고 생각하고, 소음으로 규정될 수 있는 사운드를 모아 음악으로 풀어내는 것을 좋아한다. 

Minimal, Ambient 등을 비롯, 다양한 장르에 대한 애정을 공유하고 있는 두 멤버는 Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Instagram 등을 통해 그들만의 몽환적이고 Humid 한 트랙들을 선보여 왔으며, Seoul Community Radio <월간에씌알>  6월호에 Sala 와 Manda 의 믹스가 소개된 바 있다. 

DJ 셋, 믹스 및 라이브셋 등을 통해 앞으로도 보다 더 실험적이고 폭넓은 음악을 시도하고자 한다. 

Salamanda 의 첫 EP 'Our Lair' 가 9월 [Tonal Unity] 레이블을 통해 발매 되었다.
