Hello everyone,

it’s with a genuine enthusiasm that we announce our next release: this extensive compilation will be the fifth of the label and thus the best way to celebrate our fifth birthday !

From ambient to techno, and everything in-between, Various Artists 005 will proudly feature some of the regular contributors to the catalogue, as well as an expert selection of new faces. Among them, Accou (esoteric musician, member of Indian Red Head crew), Matthias Puech (synth designer, researcher at INA GRM), Sonhan (DJ/Producer, co-organiser of Metropolis events in Brussels), Time Scale Dilation Lab (aka Ersatz Olfolks), Polygonia (DJ/Producer, creative director of Lowless), Daniel[i] (DJ/Producer, manager of Whispering Signals), Launaea (Producer, manager of From A Lost Place).

The Tale Everyone needs a hobby, right? Something that makes you feel like you're doing exactly what you want to do, or maybe just what you're most interested in next to all the stress of everyday life. Some people collect stamps and others skydive from skyscrapers, people really think of all kinds of things to kill their boredom. Unimaginably, there are also people whose hobby is to create for others a beautiful time, a wacky time, a perhaps destructive time. A kind of place where everything is possible, where freedom is to be celebrated. So sometimes people with the same ideas for such a place come together and bundle these ideas as to create a path to the festival. With the sun machine as a motor and the pure joy of creative work, things are then created together that perhaps only for a short time, but very intensively, ensure that people's inner conflict becomes one again and so a true revelation is made of the great whole. Please let us come back there again...

PREMIERE: Fløbo - Sun Machine [PYGT013]

This release by Kontinum and Eulogy is a return to the origin of the label Proselytizing. The first release Sektarian I enjoyed some attention back then. Will this become a series?
Nevertheless, this release experiences a significant increase in quality and tripping possibilities for the listener.
It goes forward with a faster pace through thunderstorm-like sculptural landscapes that seem endlessly interesting, continuously modulate further. Boiling, crackling energetic sound are heard.
Cognitive Corrison begins intro-like with light fades of the individual elements and dissolves the resulting restlessness through targeted percussive lead sounds in pure danceability. Neuro Enhancer lives up to its name and pushes with psytrance-like bass layering properly ! The modulation of the main sound is reminiscent of the boiling of a boiler that is about to explode, the arc of tension is held endlessly marching.
The track Avalanche pushes the feet by deep fast rolling broken 4/4 rhythm and lets the listener glide through the combination of DC-dubbing and angelic choirs. With Freeze, the listener is literally put into shock rigidity by the targeted use of filter modulation and the percussive elements dissolve the tension.
The rhythm of the tracks is the usual deep, the influence of the larger mixing monitors and the love for the 21-inch membrane Kirsch Audio subwoofers can be heard clearly, here the two have spent a lot of time in the past 3 years since the last release.
