This is a single to my upcoming work "Mothership".
A few Artificial Intelligence units urgently dispatched for a mission found no home base on return. Immortal creatures are left with nothing but hanging in space, slowly becoming conscious.

Night Before

Jonathan Krohn (Stave / Talker) and Benjamin Mjolsness present their first recorded output since the 2020 appearance on the ‘Out of Practice Vol. 1’ compilation from Standards & Practices Records. 

‘Drummer’ expands on the work Krohn/Mjolsness began in 2009 with their now defunct group Male. With minimal overdubbing and studio production ‘Drummer’ reprises the improvised spirit of their first performances and recordings.

Turkish producer Ekin Üzeltüzenci aka Ekin Fil debuts on re:st with her Rosewood Untitled LP. The experimental, lo-fi folk and ambient artist, hailing from Istanbul, presents a warm and colorful collection of ambient works inspired by the resistance of nature. Most of the songs on the album were written and composed under the influence of big forest fires that lasted for days in over 50 cities in the summer of 2021 in Turkey as in many areas of the world as well. The music in the album tries to touch on the extinction after the fire, trying to understand the pain of existence and tries to believe that the forest will regenerate itself again.
