Here's another instalment of my series focussing on one particular artist, producer or record label and this time I've chosen one of my all time faves - The 6th Borough Project. Ever since I've discovered the underground disco and house scene I think I've rarely played a set that doesn't contain one of their tracks or remixes, such is the staying power of their productions. FSQ is a production team led by Chuck "Da Fonk" Fishman featuring contributions from Sa'D "The Hourchild" Ali, G Koop (part of George Clinton's production team), Chas Bronz (Bostonian and friend of Soul Clap Records) and One Era. The name is an acronym for "Funk Style Quality" - three elements that make up the core ethos of FSQ's sound.
