A rare freeform set from Carlos Souffront, archived from the Outer Space Room at No Way Back: Streaming From Beyond 2021. Going far beyond the boundaries of the dance floor and deep into his record collection, we get to experience a side of Carlos seldom seen. Carlos is a rare DJ where everything he does is just so thoughtful and layered, so it is really amazing to go on this adventure with him where we can hear so many deep and heady takes on outsider music presented with such intention, it is simultaneously gourmet, bizarre and perfect. This is Carlos playing directly after Scott Zacharias in the stream as the second set in the Outer Space room, directly before we transitioned to the live block that included Raica, Suzanne Ciani, Organic Dial, Fronte Violetta and Adam Arthur.

Founder & curator of event and mix series @kineticldn, UK based @djwiggles has a penchant for all things deep, dark & mystical, often leaning into the more trippy soundscapes of techno and bass heavy sounds.

More focussed on constructing a set with an energy in mind than genre, her sets and track choices are always interesting and unexpected, paying attention to how a moment makes you feel. Just as likely to be found in a deep & dark basement playing sounds loaded with bass weight or deep techno, as on a festival stage playing footwork or house - expect the unexpected. 

“I wanted to create a mix that danced around the space in between the more techno leaning side of my sound & the deep bassy sounds you usually hear in my sets. Lots of slow, psychedelic sounds to start, building into some deeper more hypnotic techno before reaching some dark & swampy club orientated cuts to finish. All between 90-135bpm”

For this two hour session, Gav (Ongo Gablogian) recreates the vibe of a special 6 hour set he played at the Umbilical Chords ambient sleepover tent at Come Bye Festival in the Welsh countryside last year. A-Tweed is the moniker of Ant De Oto, Italian dj/producer based in Rome. His music is an essential smoothie of acid weird downbeats, dark electronics, EBM, cosmic disco, electro, tribal techno and goodies of global music at 360 °. His DJ sets have no bpm limits, ranging from slow lysergic and industrial rhythms to UK-style tribal breaks. In 2020/2021 he released on the French label Hard Fist and on the Argentine Playground Records, with remixes by Dengue Dengue Dengue, Pigmalião and Fabrizio Mammarella, among others. New music out in 2022 via Feines Tier (Germany), SABI (Japan), Electric Shapes (Lithuania), Duro (Mexico), Inside Out (UK) and many more, including remixes by Carrot Green, Lucas Croon, CAIN, etc. He is resident with his "Coal & Ash Circuit" show on Radio Alhara (Bethlehem, Palestine) and with "live in-store" show in brand new Rough Radio from Rome. A-Tweed also has two sides projects like the tribal techno duo OBLAKO MARANTA with the Russian producer Andrey Redkov from Radial Gaze and A-TWEED X OLTREFUTURO with Italian producer and sound engineer Valerio Ebert, focusing on weird slow beats and acid wonky techno out on Fauna Rêve and Multi Culti. A new collaboration with Mozambican artist Nandele was released in April 2023 via the infamous techno label TRESOR. New EP “Necker Cubism” was just released in April via Inside Out Records (London). New EP “Necker Cubism” was released in April 2024 via Inside Out Records (London) and his first mini album "Rave The Cave" was released in June 2024 by Playground Records. Just Out in September 2024 the new EP "Riot Disco Punk" for Human Endeavour Records, Ransom Note (UK) sub-label. Today, we’re very pleased to welcome Italian-born, Berlin-based Midgar boss, Severja. Jacopo has been blending art and music for the past two decades. As the founder of Midgar label, he oversees both artist curation and visuals, and he's also part of Monument’s design and booking team.

His journey spans Europe, Asia, and Australia, including a stint in Taipei during the pandemic, and he's gained a reputation for hosting some of Berlin’s most talked-about parties.

For Osmura, he delivers a unique set — starting at 180 BPM and gradually slowing down through ambient and trippy dub techno, before ramping back up with d’n’b and murky steppers.

Next up on our mix series is London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer, and event curator @Avsluta. She is the founder of Introspective Electronics, an ambient and downtempo platform that hosts regular radio shows, guest podcast series, and intimate listening events.

As a DJ and producer, her work navigates both listening and dance realms, fluidly moving in between chill-out rooms, clubs and festival dancefloors. Tuning into the energy of the people and spaces, the performances are fuelled by dialog, intuition and improvisation.

Since 2012, Caldera (@caldera-caldera) has crafted a distinct fusion of techno and bass, known for its immersive sound design.

His rhythmic experimentation offers a fresh perspective on dance music, exploring a wide range of BPMs along the way.

His music has been released on respected labels like Nummer Music, Kimochi Sound, Pressure Dome, and Well Street Records.

About the mix:
“I wanted to start the mix slightly faster and with more energy than I usually do. I already had the Aleksi Perälä song in my head as an intro for a set so I went for it and built the mix from there. While doing the tracklisting the mix slowly dissolved into the emotional ambient ending which happened very naturally and felt right.”

Inspired by cities and dancefloors where she's lived and explored, London-based Annx’s (@annx-anna-whomp) deep sound echos within her multi-genre selections. 

Her commitment to the scene goes beyond the booth with her events being a staple for psychedelic music on London's club circuit. As well as co-curating perspectives• with Nicole Gordon, she founded and curates Whomp with Lora Mipsum and is part of the Above Below Festival music team.

This mix floats around 140bpm, blending freaky textural bass with psychedelic techno and deep dubstep.

Moved by low-end frequencies from an early age, Seb H. (@sebcantmix) hunts for records that carry the hallmarks of dub and soundsystem culture. UK-born, Netherlands-based, he releases his debut EP, ‘untitled’, earlier this year on London-label kinetic. Available both digitally and on vinyl, it combines rolling sub-bass with introspective textures and dancefloor rooted rhythms.

About the mix: “I have three turntables at home now and I've been really enjoying digging for more ambient/abstract/experimental records to make layered collages of sound. So I wanted the mix to start there, then a friend sent me some unreleased tracks he'd made recently and straight away I knew I wanted to include them, which gave me a destination to aim for. Then it was just a matter of finding a route from A to B.”

OKO DJ is a core member of a few key collectives: the first is the Brothers From Different Mothers label she has been signed to, and the second is LYL Radio, where she heads up the Paris department and hosts the monthly Synchronisme ou Barberie with the Bruits de la Passion crew, as well as her own women-only show Pu$$y Nightmare. She is utterly diverse in the music she plays, which ranges from doom laden psych to 80s synth to cold body music via futuristic soundscapes. Mixing with a focus on vibe and feeling rather than scene or style, she is freed up to go wherever the music takes her. 

And so it is that her mix starts with an energised spoken word monologue then transitions to experimental beats, spooky synth tracks and jungle all within the first fifteen minutes. Dark and foreboding passages are often offset by more exotic moments of calming ambiance and for every frazzled synth and blizzard of drums there is a restorative dub moment to reset the mood. Such a series of highs and lows, darks and lights is not often found in the same set, and what’s what sets OKO DJ apart.

Couple weeks ago an old buddy emailed me...  "Serge... I digitalized some old mixes you did back in the days... you interested in the files? They're pretty cool!  One has written 'Clone Store selection December 1996' on it".  Dude of course!!

Recorded in the very first Clone store location, the old Urban Unit skatestore garage... 23 years ago.  While my neightbours of Midtown records were selling shit and shit loads of gabber (which was at its peak and total mainstream in 1996), I was selling records to the freaks and recording mixes like this in the quiet hours in the shop.

The only Pioneer equipment used was the headphone, the classic SE450... mixed on a crappy Realistic mixer.....the tape had some glitches as it's probably a copy, or a copy of a copy, as the reach of such a mix was probably about 10 friends who all copied from each other...  Funny when you realize how easy is it to reach 1000's via Soundcloud and Youtube these days, while back then you only made these mix tapes for a couple buddies... :-)

 I can use some help with track id’s as I barely remember 4 of them... time screws up your memory 😂
