The Martinez Brothers invite Italian DJ/producer Black Fancy to Cuttin’ Headz for his label debut as he drops his ‘Obrigado’ EP
Based in Parma, DJ/producer Black Fancy has been active in the Italian house scene since his production debut in 2017. However, it’s in recent years that he really started to pick up serious attention with regular support from Jamie Jones, Marco Carola and The Martinez Brothers. Named as one of 1001 Tracklist’s ‘Future Of Dance 2022’ artists, coinciding with a big debut outing on Jones’ Hottrax, he continues to keep things moving here after a busy summer as he makes his first appearance on The Martinez Brothers’ renowned Cuttin’ Headz imprint with his ‘Obrigado’ EP.
Drenched in Latin influences, with playful guitar melodies, crisp percussion grooves and infectious female vocals, the title cut ‘Obrigado’ brings a sun-soaked slice of house music destined to get crowds moving, while the ‘Dub’ mix raises the energy and dives into darker territories with slinking drums and a zig-zagging bassline. To close, ‘Acid Waves’ bring more dancefloor heat as punchy kicks, zippy synths and vibrant stabs all combine for more peacetime goodness.
