As humans we all dance to our own rhythm, and this part of the bigger cycle signifies being out in nature and enjoying music well into the night. Circadia is released with the hope that it triggers that emotion throughout the rest of the year as well.

Many great remixes never get to see the light of day in the hectic life of a label. Deadlines get missed, artists get inspired to make a new version long after the original package has been issued, and talented fans take it upon themselves to sample and re-imagine tracks without our involvement. When the resulting music is great, it always presents a label manager with a problem: what shall we do with it? 

The answer of course is: RELEASE IT!

Human Society - Colva (Lev Tatarov Remix) [Ready Mix Records]

I finally found time to upload this crazy set with @tobidei and @etcha-1, recorded at BDT Festival 2019:

Our stage - Boah Insel - was a solar-powered raft with a wooden sun deck, a little sound system, a sekt-only bar, pink and glittery looks, and a beautiful crew. It was a free floating utopia bathed in sunlight, champagne, and relaxation. Surrounded only by the waters of Helenesee, it gave ravers a reason to slow down, undress, swim over, and join the naive nudists for a trip into sunny, psychedelic bliss. Apart from endless DJ-sets, a spontaneous water ballet performance and a yogic rectal breathing workshop, the island also witnessed a wedding, which was conducted by the captain in accordance with maritime law and is said to have lasted to this day (if the two brides read this, please write!). Throughout the festival we were delighted to witness respectful, unsexualized nudity with people feeling comfortable and safe in their naked bodies.

Then this happened:

On the final day, a monumental thunderstorm - coming out of nowhere - engulfed the festival, pounded the lake with sheets of rain and ripped our barge off its anchor. As heavy winds were pushing us into the open water, a double-rainbow appeared in the sky, creating a giant embrace around us and our island.

When we were finally being towed back ashore by the local lifeguards under the setting sun, the remaining festival crowd greeted us with deafening applause and tears of joy.

So please enjoy the music and join us in thanking the universe for giving us that moment!

I wanted to tell a painful fun story about this recording. 

Last year, after long planning and preparations we finally set the date and slot for my new album Ex Nihilo’s first show ever. It supposed to be on the Robot Heart bus, which has a special meaning for me and my career.  For this show i had very special slot which was supposed to be during the man burn. 

I made my last preparations, all cables were checked, everything was so ready for my album premiere!  And on the last countdown, about an hour before my show, I started to have this weird and intense pain, spreading all over my body. The amount of the pain kept elevating while there was only 30 minutes to the show! Cramps like 10 people stabbing me all over. It was impossible to even lay down on the bed. I was writhing in the rv.  Finally I realized i was dropping fucking kidney stones right on the time of this very important moment of my life. So of course I had to miss my show and that nightmare kept on for several more hours.

The day after when I went to the bus to see temple burn, I heard one of my dear friends was gonna miss his show, so I was told to jump on the decks, not while man burn maybe but for post temple burn :) It was a kind gesture from the universe. So this set was recorded in a moment like that.. Hope you enjoy!
