Marking the anniversary of three decades of career, Dopplereffekt debuts on Tresor Records with Metasymmetry, arriving 12 December 2025.

This latest release finds members Rudolf Klorzeiger and To-Nhan in deep inquiry in sound, contemplating structure and pattern in physics and nature resulting in a harmonious audio tessellation.

Metasymmetry itself relates to a kind of second-order reality found not in the structures of life but in the rules that govern these structures; that order exists not only in things but in the relationships among systems of order. It is a structure of structures, a logic of laws, an abstract unity embedded in the act of transformation itself.

Accordingly, the four-track EP reflects this duality. Each side opens with a piece of electronic music at its most precise and immovable: defined, kinetic, architectural. This is followed by a second composition that dissolves into a weightless, atmospheric counter-form. The shift evokes a higher symmetry: an alignment not of parts, but of principles; a sonic model of the universe’s hidden invariance.

Metasymmetry also echoes across Dopplereffekt’s extended sonic continuum; this stands as the first offering on Tresor under the Dopplereffekt name despite an association with the label and club going back to the start. In this, it becomes the source of an echo that reverberates backwards through time; its own reflection:

We first connected with Jonny, aka @0gmojo, through our debut VA vinyl release, and after years in the making, we’re finally excited to share a mix he has carefully curated for all of you. The Cologne-based DJ delivers a well-rounded mix inspired by a recently discovered gem, “Deadman” by Shackleton. It sets the mood for the opening, while the dub ambient mix on the flipside works as a closer, framing the entire piece.

The tape unfolds through deep electro cuts, progressive trance, psy, and techno, always spaced-out, atmospheric, strange, and profoundly deep. It drifts from shadowy territory into a brighter, more uplifting mood, guiding you along its path with intention and detail.࿐ྂ

Private Press are back on Sungate in style, as they have us used to.

This stunning 4-tracker shows us an always advancing craft that the Polish duo are capable of. Ever present is their knack for euphoria, for meticulous drumwork, and their ability to mix-match equal pairings of colour and abrasiveness. Paired effectivity on the broken-beat realms of "Mud Break" and "Power Chord" meet solid groove construction on the 4-to-the-floor torrents of the aptly titled "Sub Soldier" and "Vulcan Mind Probe"

However, we sense throughout a notch up in fine detail, a heightened understanding of club pressure, and a deeper outlook into pushing forward the boundaries of breakbeat-continuum styles. We've always expected them to go upwards, we were just never certain of how high their ceiling was, or if one does actually exist.

The term annex typically describes a structure joined to a main building, offering extra space or function. In this spirit, Tresor Records revives the ANNEX series with a new end-of-year collection that serves as an extension of the label and club’s output, adding to the creative life that has unfolded within Köpenicker Str. 70 over the past years.

Since the club moved in 2007, the Kraftwerk complex has been repurposed from its original use as a power station to fulfil multiple functions that bring people together to collaborate and congregate: Office, venue, club, exhibition space, and home to the Berlin Atonal festival, the Tresor Foundation, and the Academy of Subcultural Understanding. With the arrival of the Hard Wax record shop in 2023, the building now offers another way for the like-minded to come together and to share ideas in a common space.

ANNEX echoes the many roles of the building by fostering introduction, connection, and creation: all of the music within was created by individuals directly linked to Tresor: from club staff and residents to Hard Wax employees and long-time friends.

Across 28 tracks, the compilation unites artists from various backgrounds and generations, some collaborating for the first time, creating a moment in motion as Tresor heads into a new year.

Mary Yuzovskaya’s Monday Off rounds out 2025 with its eighth vinyl-only various artists compilation, arriving 12th December, featuring Feph, Rasser, Mathys Lenne, and Xhato. Opening the record is Florida’s Feph, co-operator of Alchemista Records and Zosimos, with ‘A Realization’, where wild electric currents crackle over a subtle, sharp beat as shocks and zaps scatter into the darkness. Spanish DJ and producer Rasser follows with ‘Constant Pulse’, a hulking techno chugger of warped rhythms and hammering metallic hits. On the flip, France-born Germany-based Mathys Lenne, known for outings on Mord, ORBE, and Blue Hour, oﬀers ‘A Gentle Singularity’, its tumbling percussion and drone-like synth casting a hypnotic spell while sparkling high-end shimmers above. Previous Monday Oﬀ contributor Xhato then closes with ‘Lemon Swirl’ , a mystical finisher where soft sequences snake through brooding ambience, providing a guiding light as the kick drum marches resolutely. Launched while working at the now-closed Brooklyn record store Halcyon The Shop in 2017, Mary Yuzovskaya’s Monday Oﬀ has since become a home for hypnotic excellence on wax, matching her own reputation as a formidable vinyl-only DJ and Techno producer. Across its now eighteen releases, the label has featured the likes of Blazej Malinowski, D-Leria, Milena Glowacka, ORBE, Soramimi, Viels, and Yuzovskaya herself, with each release continuing to cement her reputation as one of the genre’s most trusted curatorial voices.
