‘Ostgut Ton | Fünfzehn + 1’ is a commemorative compilation celebrating 16 years of Ostgut Ton – and the first glimpses of light at the end of a long dark tunnel for parent club Berghain.

Originally planned for release in 2020, the music focuses on the interwoven nature of the label and the club in its multitude of different spaces and musical facets. Ostgut Ton artists and close affiliates worked together in pairs to make music dedicated to five different floors, each represented by a specific 12" vinyl. The result is a diverse selection of sometimes functional, other times more abstract sonic tributes; musical homages to spaces they have both influenced and been influenced by.

With the pandemic having forced the club to close temporarily, the collaborative nature of the 5x12" boxset represents an attempt to transcend varying degrees of isolation and to wrestle with memories of music and space that had been inaccessible. But certainly not forgotten.

The imprint will be "a platform designed for sound experimentation" and the first missive backs that up with a great blend of drum & bass, half-time and techno. 'Magnetismo' is a prickly opener with slippery rhythms underpinned by bold bass. 'Domo' is a darker sound with menacing low ends and prickly percussive patterns while 'Sideral' is another late-night prowler with low sling sounds, eerie atmospheres and a real sense of futurism. Proveniente de Caracas, Venezuela XIWIRE se incursiona en la producción de música electrónica a través de la práctica de livecoding, generación de música a través de código escrito en vivo. Mente inquieta por naturaleza, programa sus propios sintetizadores y herramientas de producción y generación musical, los cuales combina con cajas de ritmo y sintetizadores modulares. Su sonido ata sus diversas inspiraciones, entre ellas, la música underground de Internet, el metal y la música de rave, buscando la convivencia de ritmos rotos, texturas abrasivas y arpegios esperanzadores, en un constante coqueteo con el ruido. substitute es el resumen de 5 años de exploración musical en la electrónica emprendido como un escape de sí misma. EvilGroove is an American-based techno label co-founded by Lindsey Herbert and Jason Doll that has featured artists such as Truncate, Kr!z, Hemka, and Dustin Zahn, as well as supporting simmering underground talent.

Chile's Andrea Riffo is one of the most notable artists from her country's scene, playing many parties and growing her reputation as a must see DJ. Meanwhile, her productions have been landing on labels Joaquin Ruiz's West Rules, Diffuse Reality, Synergie, Xelima, and now she returns to EvilGroove for another VA contribution.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Red Oscillations" with a bubbling groove. The tight stabbing bassline is infectious and fun, surrounded by mesmerising hypnosis and haunting atmospherics, yet is a firm, heady club trip, ready for the dance floor.

Even a historical pandemic couldn't take summer hits away from our hearts. Exceptional circumstances means extraordinary compilation.

Worst Records' hall of fame welcomes new faces around the pool for a 13-stages enlightened drama. You'll meet again with the top 3 podium made of A Strange Wedding, Jacques Satre and Christian Coiffure, all rensponsible for our first three releases, building up a mesmerizing, out of season mental workout. Extending the dimension of trance towards Saint-Etienne, Del.Duc brings on a curious yet serene astral travel, and we can also count on the distant reinforcements from the Toulouse Gouffre Club crew with Jan Loup and her glitch spangled hazy dub from far futures and the new trance comer from Bordeaux, Lazuli.
Special friends are also gathering here, as Myako is sewing on thin fabric a vaporous dub in shades of grey, the one-and-only master touki Théo Muller delivers a cinematic remedy to confinement.
Liberation through hearing, it is, as borders explode with the presence of many : Yin Yang Audio in a transatlantic IDM/break jump, Forest on Stasys (aka Mental Resonance) and his tough shamanic dance, Clemens Friedrich slowing down all senses at once and JEANS, boss of Oracle Bones, speeding us up in the hyperloop.
Finally, as teamwork means a lot, we have given the pleasure to open this compilation to the four-headed Lausanne/Freiberg hydra 4POTR and their cryptic transdimensional message, and the honor of closing this pool party to the 404 trio gem from Candoblé with a fine piece of wonder.

Not exactly your usual summer compilation, nor the hits you could imagine, but surely the music you'll need under the hot sun of 2020.
