For this episode we’ve invited belonged Label Friend and shockwerk resident DJ Floppy Disk to record a mix for us. Dipping into deep progressive spheres, he journeys us into an elevation of lively groovers. Evolving beneath a field of tension between records from
the 90s into the 2020s - One hour vinyl power!

Bio:
Shockwerk crew member, Stuttgart resident at the infamous Studio Amore and Munich resident of the underground club LEGAL. His sound has always been rooted in house and electronic elements, but with progressive styles, he is pointing towards rave and techno to have a party full of emotions. Dipping into deep sounds elaborates his sets into a di- versified experience. Between records from the 90s and early 2000s, you will find DJ Floppy Disk bringing energy to the dancefloor and from inside the booth.

Pink Concrete describes himself as someone who does pink touches to concrete music.' This can be seen in his production and his style of mixing, as he is not afraid to add something light-hearted to techno music, which is a genre often understood as being quite serious. However, he still tends to travel through a range of emotions; there's always a hint of melancholia in his sets.

SEVEN House Mix 038: Pink Concrete

Mark [@mark-u-ton-acs] is releasing a new EP called ‘Integriert Euch Nicht’. It features two tracks taken from his Berghain debut and a freshly-composed drum'n'bass missile.

“Fucking Sick Of Myself Since Day One (Hot Desk Mix)” and “Hats Off To Herr F.” were first performed at Mark’s 2018 Berghain live set during Ostgut Ton Nacht. The former is a breakcore-adjacent call to arms for the self-loathing, the latter an antarctic shiver of predator-mode IDM-illektro. 

“Integriert Euch Nicht (Commercial Jump Up Mix)” features singing from Blackest Ever Black alum @SilviaKastel. Mark wrote the vocal parts with sine waves before Kastel recorded each tone individually, creating microtonal clusters in the vein of Luigi Nono. The sax-like sounds are Wilted Woman [@eelburn] playing the aerophone, an electronic woodwind instrument. Otherwise, it's Mark's most deliberately straight ahead drum'n'bass track to date, trading the beat science of former releases for a stubbornly boneheaded approach in line with the title's message.
