The Freshly Composted serie (50, 100, 250, 300) always represents a musical snapshot of Compost Records, bringing together a variety of genres and vibes, all produced by some of the finest artists at the moment.
This “COMPOST 500 – Freshly Composted” episode includes previously unreleased tracks and remixes by Siren, Mark E, Mathias Schaffhäuser, Claudio Ricci & Megablast, SHOW-B, Robinn, Marbert Rocel, Emilie Nana and Compost Allstars (consisting of Christian Prommer, Beanfield’s Jan Krause, Roland Appel and Michael Reinboth) featuring Robert Owens and others.

#2 SOME MICHAEL REINBOTH FAVOURITES
In this chapter, our label head Michael Reinboth picked some of his fave tunes from the Compost back catalogue, including the works of Carl Craig, Âme, John Talabot, Todd Terje, Moonstarr, Jay Shepheard, Beanfield, A Forest Mighty Black and more. Of course there are much more, but those timeless tracks played a significant role in the Compost history.

#3 HIDDEN GEMS
The third chapter of COMPOST 500 points out a selection of top B-sides, secret weapons and undiscovered pearls from the Compost vault. We are happy to welcome on board fresh talent from Valencia in our next release. Daniel Kyo has previously released in labels such us Poker Flat, Drumpoet Community and recently in Days Of Being Wild or My Favorite Robot. His debut Ep on Factor City is called “No Answers” and includes two original tracks followed by remixes from Nhar, Switchst(d)ance and label honcho Undo.

The title song “No Answers” opens the Ep with techno energy and a pop flavor. Daniel’s vocals and an analog bass-line drive the song while layers of synths, fx and acid-lines take it to the next level. Nhar’s remix is an absolute winner as proved in many dance floors. The French producer has built a complete and irresistible new track using a vocal chop from the original.

After A Weird Night comes a weird track. In the second original cut from the Ep acid drones play with robot guitars and rough beats to create a track full of tension. For the remix duties we thought in the rising Portuguese producer Switchst(d)ance after his hot releases for Beachcoma and Areal. He’s converted the original jam into a 4 to the floor psychedelic burner where an arpeggiated and mutant bass-line is the main character. On his side and to complete the Ep Undo reworks the original playing with the stems and adding broken electro beats and a 303 line.

Solid Steel (15th September) In Hour 1 we welcome Steffi ahead of the release of her new album 'World Of The Waking State', her third LP for Ostgut Ton.  The Dutch producer is based in Berlin and a resident at Panorama Bar, having compiled and mixed the 'Panorama Bar 05' mix CD in 2013. Running two record labels - Klakson, and her quickly expanding Dolly imprint - Steffi has developed a natural and professional balance between DJing and making records. Her productions continue to mature and shine, exploring many different aspects of House and Techno, with a distinctive clarity and classic approach. In her mix for Solid Steel it's a predominantly 90's selection with music from Biosphere, Electronic Eye, The Prunes, Push Button Objects and Boards of Canada. She had this to say about her mix;
"I have been praying solidly for every party or club to have an ambient and trip hop room, so many great tunes do not get to see the daylight otherwise"

Terence Fixmer’s career has spanned two decades with releases on many acclaimed labels. He has been accredited with pushing the boundaries of techno EBM and for the last few years has found a home at Ostgut Ton. 

Having remixed VCMG on Mute in 2015 and @depeche_mode in 2017 Fixmer’s contribution to the NovaMute catalogue is a natural fit. 

'Dance Of The Comets’ is a three track EP exploring the fringes of techno and hypnotic dance music. The title track is the most dance-floor ready cut with a thumping bass drum and kick.

Orion's sci-fi arpeggios use mesmerising drones, whilst 'The Silence' is an eery exercise in which otherwordly whispers are centred by a compelling bass motif.

After a ten year hiatus NovaMute, the subsidiary of Mute (@goldfrapp, @neworder, @liarsliarsliars, @moby) is back. Beginning in 1992 NovaMute released records from acclaimed electronic and techno artists such as @richiehawtin's Plastikman, Speedy J, @juan-atkins and many more.
