In 1847, the invention of the candy press (also known under the surprising name of a 
toy machine
) made it possible to produce multiple shapes and sizes of candy at once. In 1851, confectioners began to use a revolving steam pan to assist in boiling sugar. This transformation meant that the candy maker was no longer required to continuously stir the boiling sugar. The heat from the surface of the pan was also much more evenly distributed and made it less likely the sugar would burn. These innovations made it possible for only one or two people to successfully run a candy business.[14]


As the path from producer to market became increasingly complicated, many foods were affected by adulteration and the addition of additives which ranged from relatively harmless ingredients, such as cheap cornstarch and corn syrup, to poisonous ones. Huh, try to disable at the settings -> "in-game" -> enable steam community in-game, probably won't help but it's worth a shot. Most likely it's not steam, but the source engine it self. You can also try to lower the resolution and disable effects, then restart the game and see if the FPS improves or not (use net_graph from the console to obtain the correct FPS the engine manages to achieve and compare these FPS between settings, hopefully you will find some good config.)
PS: i had the similar issue with TF2, i had stable 60 FPS, then after an update, bang, down to 1 fps, and it was a model setting, i disabled that and i'm back to 60fps - what i mean here is that, if you can run minecraft with good fps, then i most likely it's not the graphics card configuration but some in-game configuration.

Exactly, whenever I open up steam (approx. twice a week) there are annoying ads and updates I have to deal with and I don't really like the UI of the launcher. So why would I want to go through that hassle addionally to the original launcher? I'm seriously curious.

Will the steam launcher override the ANet launcher or is the main reason just to have everything in one launcher? [Edit] The linked image is an example similar to what I want to achieve, though I am focusing on simply having schematic-like graphics inside the component symbol, not necessarily on arranging the pin positions to match the physical part pins (and also not the specific square pin graphics).


I am also wondering how much graphics you are trying to cram into a schematic symbol. You can zoom in pretty far to make detailed graphics in a schematic symbol readable, but it would be unreadable on a printout, and if you zoom out enough to get an overview, the graphics in the symbol is reduced to little scribbles.


Inspecting the resulting schematic file, I see that the image is stored as a $Bitmap object containing hex data for the image. That explains the much better visual result compared to converting the image to a .lib file, which attempts to convert the pixels to polygons.


To sum up my questions:

I have little to no experience using either of the above. I've manually "decompiled" netlist to LTspice schematic a couple times, but it's very tedious and only useful for learning the process or honing your skillz with SPICE syntax. Therefore, I generally don't recommend the manual process unless the netlist is only a few lines.


Does it mean I have to use an SMPS controller such as UCC28780? The latter requires complex circuits (here's schematic), whilst I want small & simple schematics, such as the one that's offered by UCC28742.


Hi there, I wanted to confirm with a specialist that my schematic design is optimal for what I want to do. I used a lot of the information provided from both the datasheet and the TPS61175EVM-326 . My device takes an input voltage of 15V and outputs at 24V. which from the equation for max output current gives me 1.5A. While it is possible to convert a schematic in one technology node to another technology node (or the same technology with a different set of processing options), it is not straightforward and requires some proficiency with SKILL.


I am not sure I fully understand your motivation. However, if it is to create a "generic" version of a subcircuit schematic and then "automatically" migrate it to an arbitrary technology in the interest of saving a lot of "schematic re-work", my personal opinion is you will not save any time. Why do I suggest this?





1. When migrating between technology libraries or technology nodes, the options and capabilities of devices change. Hence, one must make decisions about what parameters in one technology should change to in a different technology or technology node. These translation rules will be specific from one technology to another and must be included in the SKILL routine you used for the schematic translation. For example, what rules must apply to convert a planar MOS device with a given width and length to a FINFET MOS technology? This rule is only specific to this particular technology transfer. This includes resistor, resistor types, capacitors, and capacitor types. This is a huge undertaking in my opinion!


2. The schematic symbols for devices (MOS, BJT, resistors, capacitors, varactors...) are
