Northern Riser is a discovery project for myself; I used to be painfully unappreciative  of the local music seeping out of Ireland, North and South. Being a massive music fan, I wanted to  discover more of the incredible talent right here on our doorstep. There is a trend in local artists gaining more traction in other parts of the world instead of blowing up locally in the UK/ROI during their formative years but by supporting your local music scene, we can have a positive impact on the development and progress of local artists :)
