If this year has been hard on anyone it is those who unfortunately became a refugee. That is why we have decided to support those in need. Because there is very little we can individually do, our common goal is to raise money for various charities, so they can do the work we can not.
Because music has the ability to cheer up, heal and connect those who listen to it, it is music through which we hope to help. In the past year we have started collaborations with many artists. Every single one of them has made a masterpiece for us to put together into an album named “Ishtar”. 
This album is to celebrate the good things, heal and give hope to those who need it.

We're thrilled to present Camel Riders Records new release titled 'Minayo' by the French-Moroccan-based producers Sound of Mint, incl. remixes by DIBIDABO, Yamagucci, Feller, Salmani, Carla Valenti. The Live electronic musicians and producers Sound Of Mint are serving us in their debut EP on Camel RIders, three colorful and mesmerizing originals: 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' featuring the exceptional Kora player from Senegal, Mbemba Diebate, in addition to the EP theme track 'Kolinga'. Sound Of Mint's originals navigate through the vast landscapes of West Africa, creating an impeccable fusion of traditional instruments and rhythms, epic vocals, and organic elements which are all coated with fine electronic melodies and beats, suited for a wide range of moods and settings. First, we have 'Sama Bena' and 'Minayo' which both display an uplifting and warm atmosphere, combining divine Kora sounds, hypnotizing vocals, and captivating melodies with fine electronic sounds. The third original by Sound Of Mint is 'Kolinga', the EP theme track which combines funky traditional melodies, Guitars, organic percussions, wooden sounds, synths, and intoxicating tribal vocal fragments, which create all together with a fresh World Music Bluesy tune. On remix duty, we have the pleasure to welcome the Russian producer DIBIDABO and the Tel Aviv-based producer Salmani, with their debut on Camel Riders. In addition, we are thrilled to have back on our label the Japanese-Israeli producer Yamagucci, Feller from Beit Oren, and Carla Valenti from Chile. This talented team of remixers, catapult the originals to the heart of the dance floor, with a wide range of thrilling electronic sounds which vary from Slow Tech to Organic & Deep House, infusing pounding melodies, acidic elements, and fresh profound beats. There is an opinion that the song “Qele Lao” (Let’s go my son), was created after the Armenian Genocide and expresses a lamenting conversation of a grandfather with his grandson, who has lost homeland and describes his longing for it. However, we think that this is wanderers’ song and comes from earlier times. 
In the VII century, Armenia fell under the yoke of Arab caliphate, which was replaced by the reign of Seljuk Turks, and after the fall of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine empire (1453), Ottoman Turks settled in the region. During all this time, Armenian peasants were in poor state, they paid very high taxes and the goods they created were snatched or bought with very low price. 
That’s why they were often in debt and in order to pay it they had to leave for foreign countries to earn money. But in other countries they were aliens, didn’t feel well, the people and culture there were different, they were not understood, were exploited, alone. 
This song is a an appeal of such a peasant who with sorrowful heart turns to his son to go to homeland to see their native village, their mountains. The alien Armenian fancies tetraxes playing with one another, swallows flying in the sky, then mountains and rocks on their slopes as if being rock tears, shed for the peasants who have left their homeland. He sees in his mind his parents who, despite being poor, live better in the homeland. 
The last stanza was added probably later because different Armenian cities are mentioned, Moush, Van, Sassoun. And in answer to his father’s “Let’s go my son, let’s go to homeland,” the son answers, “Let’s go father, let’s go to homeland
This state of Armenian peasants aggravated during the years of Armenian Genocide, driving them away with more intensity from their millennial cradle. This is the reason that this song is most sung after genocide when Armenians again left for foreign countries, where they are deprived of warm and careful treatment on the part of their relatives and countrymen and undergo whimsical treatment on the part of foreigners. And the realization of the loss of homeland makes their state more miserable. Having grown old in foreign countries they dream of going back to their homeland with their grandsons and introduce them the wonderful beauty, water and soil, and magnificent buildings in the native country.
