Random Records presents their label DJ GO delivering a DJ set of tracks from his first compilation "Still Alive". This compilation focuses on night sounds that merge the genres of Suomisaundi and Forest Psytrance. Each track has been selected for its groovy bass lines, twisted melodies and common elements that stay true to said sub-genres, taking the audience deeper, spinning through dimensions. GO is a DJ/Producer from the tropical island of southern Japan, Okinawa, and a label DJ of Random Records but it was in Goa where he began his career back in 2005. Upon returning to Japan, he remained active in the local scene whilst expanding to many underground psychedelic parties around the world. Establishing his own DJ style by mixing various genres such as Suomisaundi, Forest and Dark Psy together, he has reached his own way of expressing positive and dark vibes throughout his mixes.

[en] “Play My Birthday” is my birthday party in musical form.
I invited artists who have been part of my journey in psytrance to create tracks that would be my gifts: each one carries a piece of history, affection, and shared trajectory.

This V.A. is an affectionate record, an encounter of worlds that have crossed paths in my sound and in my personal life. There are people who have been with me since the beginning and artists who came later to expand, add to, and open new eras alongside me. If my birthday party were music, this would be the sound of "Happy Birthday," and that was the intention of the album: to unite the beginning, the middle, and today in a single story.

“Play My Birthday” doesn't just celebrate my birthday. It marks a turning point, a rebirth, a new phase of my project and my life. And, like any good surprise party, this V.A. arrives with that feeling of:
“nobody was expecting this… and that's what makes it so enjoyable.”

Convidei artistas que fazem parte da minha caminhada no psytrance para criarem faixas que seriam os meus presentes: cada uma carrega um pedaço de história, afeto e trajetória compartilhada.

Esse V.A é um registro afetivo, um encontro de mundos que se cruzaram no meu som e na minha vida pessoal. Tem gente que está comigo desde o começo e artistas que chegaram depois para expandir, somar e abrir novas eras ao meu lado. Se a minha festa de aniversário fosse música, este seria o som do parabéns, e essa foi a intenção do álbum: unir o começo, o meio e o hoje em uma história só.

“Play My Birthday” não celebra só meu aniversário. Marca uma virada, um renascimento, uma nova fase do meu projeto e da minha vida. E, como toda boa festa surpresa, esse V.A chega com aquele sentimento de:
“ninguém estava esperando por isso… e é isso que o torna tão gostoso.”

In this edition of Iono Series we're talking with Yarden Yogev & Tzahi Geller, an Israeli duo project, SIDE EFFECTS topped with a mix mae especially for radiOzora.

Side Effects are Yarden Yogev and Tzahi Geller, good friends since their childhood and come from Israel. Yarden was fascinated by the whole process of writing music, sound and production from an early age, especially drawn to The Delta’s album Scizoeffective and Cosma's album Simplicity. His first encounter with Trance happened when he was 13 years old when he bought a cassette of Goa Vibes vol. 1 in a local music shop. Since that moment he was hooked and sucked into the Psytrance oblivion and knew he had to be a part of its creators. Tzahi encountered Psytrance in an early age through friends and started to go to parties in age 16 to absorb the real deal. He started to toy with production and music while experimenting with all the options that came to his mind. Both have been heavily influenced by artists such as Freq, X-Dream, Ace Ventura, Astrix, Atmos and many more. After years of mutual exchange of inspirational musical molecules they have decided to join forces to one powerful compound, and in 2011 – Side Effects was born.

The massive Side Effects that these two leave after consuming their music is immediately felt – powerful, intoxicating and exhilarating melodic sensation. They have released in various labels such as Plusquam, Iboga, TesseracTstudio and of course brewed some quality top notch ingredients at Iono Music such as the EPs One Man’s Vision, Complete Control and Black Hole. But of course as a nomad assemblage they have spread their Side Effects all over the world. Through these voyages they have joined forces with other artist to augment their contagious formula such as Symbolic, Time Lock, Egorythmia, Time in Motion, Zyce, Sideform and others. As their potion grows stronger and more sophisticated it is safe to say that every ride into their dimension will be a trip you will never forget.

Inspired from an early age by music, Remy began as a radio host for 10 years. Meanwhile, he distills different styles of electronic music in various bars and clubs ... It was in London that he discovered the music that inspired him since 1999 « Psytrance" and he imposed his style on the underground scene.
Back in France since 2005, he got involved in the organisation by creating StereOrganic and conquered the public with parties such as Psychedelight, Xtaz, Progmatic, Astro Beat, etc... by inviting various international artists from Psy-Trance, Progressive & Techno. He is also a music producer recognised for his collaborations with Talamasca and Polaris.
Otezuka is also an Artist open to the world and has made you dance at various festivals: Universo Paralello (Brazil), Fusion & Wonderland (Germany), O.Z.O.R.A. (Hungary), Freedom (Portugal), Psyna (Czech Republic), Timegate (Switzerland) Transahara (Morocco) & Hadra, Dream Nation, Electro Leo, Psychedelight, Freaks Machine (France), etc... His style is definitely Psychedelic.
