Komponente & Kurilo is a Ukrainian electronic duo 
recording trancehouse on analog instruments from the 90s. 

A side track "Witchmaster" is a rolling, hi tech, reductionist groove with 
melancholic chords and a tripped out scrape on every club that's truly mind melting. 
A2 is "From The Picture Through The Light", a more mysterious and subdued 
effort with a broken beat, tripped out vocal samples and rising, 
tunnelling chords that altogether combined will push you right into the void. 

On the flip, "Gilgamesh" turn more raucous thanks to the nervous bundle of cowbells 
and snares spewing from all angles. "The Beginning of Time" gives it a more acid and energetic makeover with 
a more rolling groove, the track a wonky and claustrophobic vibe that makes you feel like you're 
dancing on downers.

"We have been working on this stacked twenty seven track compilation since just after the war broke out. This VA blends many styles of electronic music and we hope you discover some new artists and sounds that tickle your ears along the way. 
Ukraine has been such an important part of the Wex journey. 
With numerous parties in Ukraine and various releases from Ukrainians artists, we watched with heavy hearts as the country became a war zone. We hope to contribute and help, even if it will be just a little, with the support of our fans and the underground community. We will be donating directly to our friends who are currently living in Kyiv and have been helping their communities stay as safe and healthy as possible. 
A big thank you to all the artists and engineers involved in helping the release come together and supporting our attempt to help those in needs. You can see some of them tagged in the post b it we were only able to tag a maximum of 20. You can stream and purchase the compilation via our bandcamp.

Bari-based producer Frhanks visits Bucharest via Chicago on this organic and entirely distinctive EP for Lisbon label Welt Discos. ‘Bonus Beat’ is a raw blend of jazz and jack trax that leaps straight out of the Music Box to slap you round the face. The extended meditation of ‘Spring’ adorns a minimal groove with delicately plucked improvisation, striking a pastoral mood for the first glimmers of daylight. On the flip, ‘When Is Time To Go Home’ trips along like a late morning walk back to the tent, caught somewhere reassuring between reverence and whimsy.

Huerta inaugurates his new R&R imprint with TV Slang LP. Existing in a world away from the club, Huerta picks up where his debut album Junipero left off. Intended primarily as an immersive home-listening experience, TV Slang explores rhythmic moods and ambient soundscapes: combining traces of deep house, downtempo, and a suggestion of breakbeat flavors. Partially recorded back in 2019 and subsequently completed in 2022, TV Slang is the first release on R&R, a sub-label of Leizure focused on exploring more nuanced and eclectic sounds outside the rigid framework of dance music.

It’s been nearly 2 years since our last reissue comp, so we’re pleased to announce SHRR06: Seven Hills Presents Governed By Rhythm 94 – 97!

We’re taking another wild excursion into the world of Andy Jones, the mastermind behind Precise Daily Rhythm, a label we reissued back in 2020. Governed By Rhythm was an outlet for Andy’s faster, trancier dance tracks, as opposed to the grooving techno and tech house of PDR.

SHRR06 comprises three never before heard tracks on Disc 1, as well as four from the original label on Disc 2. Additions to the original music are; ANWAM, a 16 minute long acid ambient wormhole, Kik The Can, a pumping bassline driven piece of tech trance, and the early 90’s Italian-style Bedroom.

When I close my Eyes

This track is inspired by the Mills of my home town (Bolton) and surrounding area and the warmth of northern people. In particular its about how they retook over these spaces after the hollowing out of the industrial north as production moved to India and the Far East. They are used for multitude of purposes from housing, to light industry, work spaces, art spaces, and a few acid house raves. The track starts with a simple beat and then gradually builds up layers of dark stabs, smooth modulating synths, and crazy lush pads, like a factory machine spinning into life or like the Northern spirit adapting to its new future.

Lerosa (Uzuri, Idle Hands, Lunar Disko) adds to his esteemed discography with an EP composed entirely during the summer of 2020. Several of his musical influences – I.M.S., Lee 'Scratch' Perry, James Stinson – can be heard across these four diverse tracks, as he jumps nimbly from italo to dub to house to electro. As always with Lerosa, though, the sound that emerges is distinctively his own, the result of daily cat-assisted studio time at his home in Dublin.
