If there were a parallel universe, Silverlining would surely inhabit it as a devoted silviculturalist (one who cares and cultivates forest trees; a forester), empowered with superpowers to converse with the plants. But in this realm, the South Londoner can only daydream about a life in the woods from the warmth of his log cabin-inspired studio in the depths of the urban sprawl, accented with the aromas of forest air freshener. His latest Forest Dreams EP channels his pining for pine onto yet another slice of black PVA for your listening and dancing enjoyment. “The Lumberjack’s Call” laments the woodcutter’s cry for “timber” (or is it saying “deeper”?), stripping a disco-tinged house groove through a metaphysical sawmill, punctuated by Motor City-inspired synths. “Tepozteco”, named after the neotropical national park and mountaintop pyramid outside Mexico City, draws inspiration equally from US house grooves of Mood II Swing as it does the ethereal synthetics of early Warp Records. The release closes off with the title track “Forest Dreams” where the latter earthly tones are swept aside to meet the demands of dayglow techno sprites that haunt the electrics of Silverlining’s studio.

The 5 tracks strong "Cold Flower (full bloom) EP" is representing and embodying Shiver’s vision and purpose: to bundle, showcase and celebrate the diversity within electronic music. 

The record itself moves between techno, house, breaks and trance. It unifies its tracks by the idea that, in some way or another, they stand in correlation to blooming flowers that are the source of inspiration for the EP’s name and assets. The latter was designed by design studio “(soft)cover” who visualized the sounds via an unique humanized algorithmic artwork.

The record’s A-side is an homage to Japan’s cherry blossom trees. The dreamy yet intense sounds of “Cold Flower” by Melbourne-based DJ Cris P catapult its listeners right into the enlightening atmosphere of the sweet-scenting and colorful pedals.

Up next, Marginal Returns is happy to finally unveil Gwenan’s debut EP. Already familiar to many via her DJ sets at various notable events over the past years - from festival main-stage techno to backroom boutique ambient - 2023 finally raises the curtain on Gwenan’s studio output. 
 
Activation Energy presents an elegant, particular and personable take on rhythmic electronic music, taking in A1’s downtempo, dub shrouded ‘Rhythm Delay’, the sneakily effective plucked lilt of A2 ‘Foundation’, the contemplative, emotive glide of B1 ‘Control Change’ and B2 ‘Attention Movement’s brooding syncopation.

In memory of Andy Panayi
For the second release we have four unreleased tracks made between 1994 to 1996 at Alien Recording studio in London from duo PAN-TONE (Alec Stone & Andy panayi). Best friends for over 35 years, both had a passion for making their own style of music and getting out it to the people around the world. Sadly passed away, Andy has been a very big font of inspiration for us, we are proud to release these four housey tracks from the past to all of you.

The proceeds from the sale of the release will be donated to the charity created on the occasion of Andy's death in favor of the ''The Peace Hospice'' clinic in Watford for research against cancer and other diseases.

All simply because this one is an excellent reminder about dark nights from back in the day. Since 2016 Mr. Moretti stepped in the game of his own music production and now he is presenting a 3rd solo release.
With all our pride we can say that it is a dance proof piece of plastic. The man started to attending clubs since he was a teenager, so he knows a thing or two about the electronic music culture. 

Be ready for groovy basslines and warm synthetic passages with a bit of acid here and there, so you will heat up those decks right on time.
