Incoming…! 2019 ends with a bang as we unveil the second release from tINI’s Part Of The Gang record label. An extension of her tINI And The Gang parties, which were conceived in Ibiza, the label will act as a home for music from tINI’s close circle of friends and collaborators. 

On this second release we have one of the Gang’s long standing members, Bodeler. The eclectic Argetinian has been spinning at tINI’s parties for a while now, so it makes sense to have him on board. Across three track he demonstrates his penchant for nuanced dancefloor weaponry, making this a must-have EP. Ricardo Villalobos has been supporting ‘Ridrum’ in his sets, so you know this is a special one…  

Kicking things off it’s ‘Ridrum’, a pumping cut driven by organic-sounding percussion spliced with crisp 4x4 drum programming. The bass is hypnotic, pulsating in tandem with the beats to create a scintillating track - when the vocal calls out “Radio”, the dancefloor goes crazy. 

On ‘Bom Gates’ Bodeler incorporates a repeated vocal clip to cultivate a mesmerising atmosphere. After a short breakdown, another vocal sample joins the fray alongside a deadly b-line and sharp, sturdy claps. 

Lastly, ‘Klepex’ gives us a heady ride into unexplored terrains. The low end groans with a low slung groove, while gentle pads add a touch of mystique. It’s a masterful combination of contrasting layers, closing the EP in style.

Next up on Desolat is acclaimed deep house and techno pair youANDme with a new single that comes with remixes by label boss Loco Dice and label associate Pablo Bolivar.

youANDme is a collaborative project between Berlin based pair Martin and Daniel. They make raw, emotive underground sounds and Martin recently turned out a well received full length album that explored far and wide. They have worked for artists like Moodymann, Radio Slave, Seth Troxler, Lawrence and many others, as well as running Rotary Cocktail and 3 other mysterious labels. Their machine made sound is much loved by those in the know and no doubt will be this new single.

‘Take Away’ was written in summer 2014 with vocalist Black Soda from South Africa. It came after the pair worked on another track to such great effect that Martin played her an instrumental of this track and she immediately provided vocals for it that gave them both goosebumps.

The track is made from various hardware synths including the Roland Alpha Juno 2 and is filled with feeling. It is built on a bed of pinging drums and coarse claps, but the heaviness lifts with the arrival of Black Soda’s breezy, spoken word vocals and some colourful xylophone like melodies. It’s a proper underground anthem in the making, frankly.

Then comes Loco Dice with his version. It is typically chunky, with grainy, sheet metal claps, twisted vocals and skewed synths that all make it robust and masculine. Sure to be massive when dropped in the right club, it is a fine bit of work from the boss.

Pablo Bolivar then steps up to remix and flips the track into a more uptempo, gliding house cut with starry melodic patterns, punchy drums and filtered vox. It builds and builds to a peak and then implodes under emotive arps that are dotted left, right and centre, no doubt owning floors in the process.

The fifth release of VBX, "I Change, Just Like You" will soon arrive directly from Ferro, one of the main exponent of the Amsterdam-based collective.

The Dutch producer is recently on fire: apart from delivering "Limbic Resonance" VBX004 circa 8 month ago, produced together with Reiss as Spokenn, there were severals and insisting rumors around him to be the Unknown Artist behind a heavily-endorsed tune played this year.

Overall, his stamp on VBX record label is significant: the first two-ever issues, which played a major role in kick-starting the imprint ("Time Will Tell" and "Meeting In Another World") are from Jasper himself, confirming his creativity in studio and setting the last couple of year as the most prolific to date.

His growth as a DJ and producer goes at the same fast-peace VBX is going, with both breaking milestones one after the other in short period of times. His duo-project with his friend Reiss, which we featured not long time ago, is booming, with both set to appear in Ibiza for Carl Cox project One Night Stand at Amnesia and DC-10, respectively on 02 July 2018 and 10 August 2018.

VBX005 is a two-tracker EP. The name Endresonic - the A side of this two tracker - subtly references the Norwegian vocalist, who's haunting voice lends the percussion heavy and uplifting track a visceral quality. It's the type of track that you will be humming the day after you heard it being played out by your favourite DJ, wondering what it could be.

Dark Revelations on the flip feels almost like the Mr Hyde to Endresonic's Dr Jekyll. Countless heady modulating soundscapes, gurgling bleeps and blobs, subtle percussive elements and an eerie voice - with Ferro's signature groove as the backbone holding it all together - ensure a trippy, almost cerebral, listening experience. 'I Change, Just Like You' provides the listener with an aural glimpse into the multidimensional universe of sounds that Ferro calls home.
