With a recent sell-out self-release from Telfort and a highly anticipated debut from Hi and Saberhägen on Huntleys + Palmers, the cast of this debut 12” sampler is as strong as Plutonian steel! Newcomer Philip Budny begins our journey with a crystalline aural interpretation of the waterfalls of Bali, ahead of Hi and Sabes' rhythmic raga. On the flipside is a meditative offering from Telfort, reminiscent of a smoky hangover after a rave in the dungeons of Kinshasa, before chief commanding officer Percy Main’s finale zooms 50 years into Sheffield’s funktopian future with a bumpy dancefloor robo-killer.

We reside in the heavenly land of Caledonia and wish to share these experiences with the world around us and the planets beyond. We invite all regardless of multiversal location in joining us on our celestial celebration.

For Lionoil’s 4th outing, formerly supine Edinburgh top cat Thinktank takes us on a dive around his subaquatic crib, drifting between it's many chambers - each one stranger and more manic than the next.  

Within this flooded house are cupboards of digi-dub hysteria, boxes of ginger-snap crunchy electro and an attic full of flailing blippy techno that Thinktank has offered to dancefloors outside and above. Three tracks cut at 45 for the club, built for enhancing maritime mindfulness and amphibian serenity.  

First up, ‘Salve' protects our skin and soothes our egos. Flip it over and deadly digi-dub rain-dance ceremony 'Computers Need More Africa’ does exactly what it says on the tin. Finally, 'Underwater Allies' is Thinktank’s entrance theme/warrior’s dance/getting out of the shower groove. 

Hold your breath and embrace the chill - we’ll supply the goggles.

With their unique take on the Romanian sound, Alsi brings an irresistible house groove to an intricate soundscape. EP number 2 on Colourful from this talented duo and it’s filled with goodies!

Dalmata Daniel's next up is a collaboration with the Bristol-born "weirdo disco guy” Antoni Maiovvi and also a contribution of Heinrich Dressel who is an unavoidable column of Rome's  electronic music scene. Maiovvi's Pleasure Model project is all about youth - replaced by Blade Runner-esque replicas. His first release under this moniker was "Kendo Dynamics” on 100% Silk in 2016. It aimed for  presenting a persuasive world of fiber optic paranoia and technoid effacement. DD006 is the next level of the concept and the first time on vinyl. The tracks are driven by the characteristic haggard drum machine's sound on side A with a  melancholic or dark synth themes what becomes a dreamy melody in the "Prism Riot” on side B. The remix by Heinrich Dressel is a turn back directly into the darkness, but it is faster and more like a film soundtrack with his own characteristics, of course.  The whole EP has a strong vintage mood and sound. It can be said that Update 1.1 is definitely dystopian, coming from the future of our past.
