With gritty basslines and heavy handed percussives contrasted with subtle yet soaring melodies and samples to soothe the troubled soul. It's clear Puk uses his music to express the many layers and complexities of the mind, one that is far reaching and rooted all at once. The perfect middle way, one of beauty and reality.

born in the fabulous year of 1972 in south west of france.
Passionated by all sounds since child (always berlin in first ! kraftwerk , nitzer ebb...& also london or paris or US house & rap) 
I became a vinyles dj in 1992 in nature , forests, private parties. Educated by Dj Nerate (UK) from famous Spiral Tribe team, i'm  proud to have been a part of these first influences @ early times of techno movement in france with very small audience (but high quality^^^ones  at the beginning , playing house, hardhouse, techno, hard techno, trance , psytrance... sharing the sound in thailand koh phan gan (92 to 95) & goa beaches (92 to 97) , jungle or breakbeat, during 10 years
After a break of 20 years..I came back on the desks , that time on digital materials from summer 2022 & at 50 years old..(!!) 
I like to improvise with all the avalanche of new stuff that i hunt & receive  each day from some precious friends.
Downtempo or midtempo (even high tempo), house, slowhouse, deephouse, hip house, electronic , deep beats,psytrance or chillhouse & even sometimes with melodic or else .
My singularity is to play without headphones most of time (it guaranty for me the essence of the energy of improvisation..)
My eclectic knowledge & my singular way to mix make my personnality , groovy & Deep most of time.

Driven by a passion for music with depth and feeling, and underpinned by an unswerving attention to detail, this UK based artist is still performing at the top of his game.

Growing up in the musical melting pot of the 80’s and 90’s, where technological advances in sound generation created a new sonic canvas, the desire to innovate has always been strong. Influences ranging from Kraftwerk to Zappa, from Bach to Beck contribute to a unique sound that frequently defies genres.

Puk is an electronic music artist and lover based near Brescia, Italy.
He compensates for the hectic and stressful life of his city with the production of emotional experiments in electronics, downtempo and slow house.
He finds inspiration in a special way in the snowy mountains and in nature trying to reproduce their sounds with synthesizers and drum machines without neglecting the most emotional and melodic part from which it comes.

Fundamental for him was his frendship with Djs Phil Delcorso and Renton (Trent), with whom he played several times in different clubs promoting alternative electronic parties. With Renton they founded the project called "David Hofmann", mainly focused on neo-trance, electronic and Idm music.

In 2009 release his first single "Jade", this track is a neo-romantic vision of techno, is an 8 minutes voyage through both hypnotic and emotional melodies injected with pathos, and inclined to the dance floor. In following years publishes several EP and Remixes cooperates with Smiley Fingers, Orion records, Aquavit records, Progrezo, till the Italian Mazoom lab.
In 2011 appears for the first time on a vinyl label near John Tejada on consolidated Aquavit Records. 
Under the David Hofmann project duo release singles on Wide Angle Recordings, Cinematique, System, Inlab and Detuned Recordings, on latter remain label manager for a few months.

In the next years he released also on MNL, Dopamine Music, Superordinate and Clinique, recently he works with labels from the downtempo scene like Random Collective, Ohxalà, Stingray Vision and Tonal.

Producer, Dj, and Sound Engineer based in Ibiza ,
blending electronic pulses with organic grooves.
